Breathing in the sweaty atmosphere of his cockpit for one last time, Pygmy started passing through the docking rings of Manhattan as alarms went off both in his cockpit and around his ship.
They had found him.
Jumping into action, he slammed the button to take his ship out of auto-pilot with his palm. Jerkily he grabbed the controls of his Waran and began dodging around, weaving and twirling through the atmosphere of Manhattan. The outside of his hull began to glow with a faint red as he entered, leaving space for the first time in months. Lasers flashed by his ship as the orbital defense cannons reacted to his ship breaching the planet's security. As he dropped in altitude, a shot hit and alarms sounded as his shields went offline. The familiar but dreaded "Missile Incoming" alarm played, Pygmy swore under his breath and began dropping countermeasures frantically.
