Marcus Narvaez is the eldest son of Maria and Ernest Narvaez, and nephew to the famed Don and family patriarch David Narvaez. After the death of Don David’s bastard son and sole heir (Michael Alvarez) at the hands of Bounty Hunters in California, Ernest became the prime inheritor of the Narvaez cartel. Consequently, Marcus is the secondary heir and will inherit the cartel and its assets following the death of his father. This has invariably drawn him into the famiglia's hierarchy and potentially exposed him to the various internal power struggles, schisms and assassination attempts that come with the position.

Throughout his younger years, Marcus llived in the metropolitan confines of Firenze, where he received tutelage from the area's finest minds. He also spent time living under the protection of his uncle, Don David, learning the ways of diplomacy and management. In spite of his academic upbringing, Marcus chose to lead a life of leisure, chasing women and flaunting the wealth his family’s plantations and exploits had accrued. This has led to some concerns as to his potential ability to manage the cartel. Despite assurances from his parents that maturity would come with time, Don David has taken the executive decision to entrust Marcus into the care of Claes Leslie, the commandante of the 75th Mosquitos.

Due to his clan patriarch’s decree, Marcus has been banned from inheriting land, property, slaves or material wealth until he has sufficiently proved himself. It unknown as to why the Don chose to entrust one of his principal heirs to the 75th as opposed to the steady hands of the 101st. Dark whispers abound that Don David is gambling his nephew’s life as a political snub at the Council of Dons, after his failure to ascend to its head almost two decades ago. Marcus has given a reasonable performance so far, having participated in a number of raids and instigated a failed ambush on a Libertonian arms dealer. While showing initiative, it is generally thought that he must refine his technique and control his attitude in order to be a truly effective pilot.
