Freelancer crashes to desktop in 1 till 2 seconds after i logging a char

Hello there,

starting this year, or even longer, plagues me an error in Freelancer. I thought it's my computer. After the reinstallation the bug is still present.

All my chars are affected. The chance, that I will be thrown to the desktop when i login, is about 50%
I cant access Freelancer if I press the minimized window.
The cursor disappears and I have to use the Task Manager to close Freelancer.

After i start Freelancer again and try to reload the same char, i will get a 1 minute connection problem.

I'm going crazy! How can I fix this bug?

I got the same problem now at other games.


I tried something out. I started a memory diagnostic in BIOS and checked my RAM. It tells me, that some sectors were damaged. After this procedure the problem is disappeared. I think BIOS disabled the damaged sectors.

The problem is fixed.
