Hey guys...

I was just wondering how many of us here are musicly gifted and play a guitar or some other instrument...
I myself am a guitar fan and have been playing it for some 5-6 years...
So what kind of instrument do you have, how long have you been playing and any favourite genre/specific song made you learn to play...

Well... I play drums for more than three years. I can play from jazz and blues to extreme metal.

As for guitar, I play it for a couple of weeks and I learned to play a fragment of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPRt6Tt6RyM and the intro of this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U-bToFXUjs.

And yes, I mostly listen to that kind of music, though I enjoy classical as well.

What kind of guitar I play? Acoustic/classic only for the moment. I was lucky enough to get a guitar for free from my school (which is a programming highschool) actually. This is all courtesy to the music teacher I have which likes to see us progressing in the boundaries of arts and other subjects not just going at school and behaving like computers torrenting data and storing them in a local disk and never using them.

My love for a specific genre made me want to learn to play drums, and then guitar, and afterwards I would wish to learn to play vocals properly and maybe also bass

As for the drums, I don't own a set because of the apartment I live in, but... there are a number of studios which I play at with my band and moreover, when I practiced drumming, I did it at an Art School. It's not that normal kind of school, it's like something you go after school in your free time as a hobby. I practiced there for two years and I also helped the person who taught me drumming to make a website. It wasn't complicated though but he has a respectable age and well... IT and Programming knowledge is something that people above 50 in this country rarely have. I guess you could blame communism for that.

However, after the weekends I spent in order to make his website and finish it properly, he decided to reward me. He gave me a bass drum and allowed me to take drum hours for free. Which I unfortunately cannot take opportunity of that at this moment because of school.
