Headline News: Terrorist Group Strikes Liberty!

The terrorist group known as the "sisters of the light", along with outcast support, struck a decisive blow to liberty today. Upon invading the system with a large fleet consisting of fighters, bombers, and gunboats, the group proceeded towards manhattan; devastating trade convoys and sweeping a path of destruction through the defending police and navy vessels.
During the assault, the leader of the group - a woman known only as "visas" - used an unknown weapon against the planet's surface. Three small manhattan cities are now nothing more than smoldering ruins - leveled and incinerated by the weaponsfire. Hundreds lie dead, and thousands more are injured.

Apparently the attack was part of a crusade against all of sirius. These so called "sisters of the light" are known nomad-worshippers, revering the aliens as holy spirits and gods. The attack group was accompanied by one identified nomad ship... could this be the signs of another nomad war? We can only hope it doesnt come to that...

The following are images of the attack group as well as system-wide communications that were recorded during the assault.































Upon approach to zone 21, liberty naval forces managed to scatter and disrupt the attack, destroying many of the terrorists. While no evidence exists at this time, some reports say that the terrorist leader escaped and could eventually strike again.

An increasing static rolls over this frequency, growing in intensity and range, until for a brief moment, all communications throughout Sirius were rendered useless. Something about the white noise made one and all think of an unspeakable evil, something so sinister as to make their worst nightmares become their fondest fantasies. Then, it receeded to the one frequency, where it took the vague form of an insane cackle, until finally disappearing completely.
