"Thank you, Fraulein," Marks said, his voice regaining the gravitas and dignity of age and experience. "It will take me some time to reacquaint myself with all of the recent developments in the movement. I will begin, as you have suggested, by discussing the logistics with Kommandant Wolf."
Marks straightened up and walked out of the office, energized with a renewed sense of purpose. Grabbing his cane out of the hands of the security guard, he strolled down the hall, whistling and swinging his cane around.

Greetings,
My name is Jens Olsen, and I hereby wish to place myself at the disposal of the people of Rheinland, the Revolution, and the Bundschuh Party.
Before continuing I want to express my admiration and respect for all members of the Volksfront, the Bundschuh and the People's Party of Bretonia, for their service to the people and their steadfast dedication to their ideals. It is due, in no small part, to these qualities that I am writing this message.
I was born, 19 years ago, on Planet Holstein, to a father who held a mid level technical position in a Kruger plant, and a mother who worked as a nurse. My parents were both advocates of democracy and liberty, but did not wish to pursue the path of activism, due to the risks incurred by my own existence. So, for most of my childhood I attended the travesty that passed for a public education system whilst receiving an informal political and historical education from my father. I developed a great interest in the histories of Earth, and of international politics during this time.
Three years ago, when I was 16, my parents were taken by the RFP. Although I do not know the exact crimes for which they were arrested (if, in fact, there are any), nor whether or not they are still alive, I know that I was incredibly fortunate to escape with my own 'freedom'. After I arrived at the residence of a family friend, seeking refuge, I was surprised to hear him reveal himself to be part of a loosely affiliated people-smuggling network, with connections to the Zoners, that had been taking refugees out of Rheinland for years. Another stroke of luck. I was deposited on Freeport 1, my spirit utterly broken.
Very quickly I realised that I needed an income to live off, so I signed on to a Zoner transport. We flew all over Sirius, seeing in the Zoners and Junkers not great wealth and ease of life, admittedly, but freedom! I saw now how seriously the people of Rheinland are being oppressed by the fascist, corporate machine that is the Rheinland government, and could not in good conscience stand idly by whilst people such as yourselves were making a stand, which led me to this course of action.
I am ready to serve in the Volksfront, in any capacity, with the utmost dedication, if you will have me.
