Transferring cash to new players

Just a heads up to all my fellow admins. I have found that some people want to create a character and then transfer money to it before they login to the character they created. Not a good idea as the money they transfer will be lost.

This will cause the appearance of cheating. The transfers will be noted in the server log (flhook.log), if you've set your FLHook.ini file to do so, but the timestamp of the transfers will be before the character creation timestamp in DSAccountManager.

The character is officially created upon first login, even though it may have been actually created some time ago.

Just wanted to let you guys know as you may have a few of your players telling you they lost money in a transfer.

Never had that problem, really. I suppose that is another reason to tell the new peeps how drawcash works.

Doesn't happen on Disco though, I'm pretty sure. If you tried transferring money to a character before it exists the money goes nowhere and the command returns "ERR: Char does not exist".

So the solution is just not enabling what you referred to then?

I do this a good amount. Never have this issue on the official 24/7 RP server at least.
