Obviously either none of you understood what Tel asked, or has no clue about the rules.
So the short answer: No, you weren't breaking any rule.
The long answer: It's only breaking a rule when you log the same character, or associated characters.
For example, your brother flew a ship named Dirty.Roger which is a navy guardian, then you came on a ship named LNS-Dirty.Roger, which is obviously the same character thus not allowed.
However, if he flew (e.g) LNS-Cruiser, and you later came on LNS-Dread after he died both are on the same account, using different computer (saying that you are not even living at the same place) it's not a rule violation, however your brother couldn't log that dread and join the fight since he's not allowed at the system completely for 2 hours unless those who killed him log off their characters.

And i have an x amount of people living within my house. so i can re-engage as much as i want because everytime another one plays. Or i could say i have multiple personalities (sarcastic) If a char dies on an account its just 2 hours no go.

to sum it up:
- Dont log the same ships
- Admins can find out if you are logging the character(s) on the same computer or different ones on the same network
so if this is a fake story then youre basically giving yourself away
though I have mentioned that we don't live together so its not a direct conversation where we update one another but somewhere down the line it should be restricted for the whole account ( it's more of a technical question now ) - the only reason why I think it should be restricted is because people seem to whine about re-engaging, and I realize its outlandish and alot of people will think im a nutball for suggesting it, but anything that would prevent whinners or p.m spammers then i'll take it.
I'll leave this as it is, can be closed.

Let me help you with a bit of logic:
Tel-Aviv clearly stated that he and his brother are not living together at the same place.
From that you'd gather they are not using the same computer, nor even the same internet connection or even provider.
He stated that he didn't use the same character, but anther character that is merely on the same account.
Seriously, are you stupid or just plainly not reading at all what the OP writes?
