You said they're badass unlawful ships. They're border worlds, meaning they're open to anyone, even civilians, and nobody cares who buys them because they're not some faction's deep dark secret tech.

They are not flown by a "very limited amount of unlawful factions". Every other mercenary flies one, faction or independent. The reason unlawfuls use them is because anyone can get them since they're open, and in 4.86, the easiest way to get them is to go to an Outcast base. The Stiletto is the goddamned starting ship for /restart Freelancer, which, if I remember correctly, starts at -0.4 to most unlawful factions.

I'd ask you if you're dumb, but considering the "glorious" history of the faction in your signature, I already have my answer Smile

Retired, permanently.

Also, the Border Worlds bomber is currently on a Zoner base.

Perhaps, I just don't like much any inconsistencies with the original freelancer.

Following your logic Pirate fighters and house freighters should be available for generic IDs as well.
BW fighters were made quasi-civilian by the devs, and there isn't any deeper meaning (neither there is something wrong).
I don't really think that the Sabre being "quasi-civilian" is an inevitable consequence of that "Borderworlds" in it's infocard.
So please keep away arguments like "It has to be like this because of the lore". No it doesn't. There are always various possible outcomes.
Should the Sabre be "civilianized" even more? I'm not sure if that has much sense.

Anything bad in particular? Or, maybe, just your own bias?
