How to decode .ALE Files?

I know how to decode INIs but I want to ply around with some ALE Files and cant a way / decoder that can do it.

Can anyone help?

Freelancer XML Project can be used to convert .ale files to .xml and back, and Notepad++ makes it a lot easier to edit .xml/.ini files.

Ale en/decoder and hash calculator. For ales you use signed CRC.

While I think the long trail is kinda cheesy, it's not a bad idea. Less effects on screen is always less of a burden, and when ships are idle it really isn't necessary.
