Ralf Warren: Good night, ladies and gents! I am Ralf Warren, directly from our studios in downtown Las Palmas, Planet Gran Canaria, with another CNN Special Report! Tonight we will talk about the war between Coalition and Corsairs resulting in our lovely planet being target of cruel bombardments by both parties, and after that more than one month of Corsair ocupation and imposed Martial Law. What is behind these attacks?

Also, on the second part of this program, an exclusive interview with one of the most powerful men in Sirius, yet little is known about him: the leader and commander of the obscure Order, Admiral Michal Golanski! The man seams to be on the edge! At the same time a peace negotiator, but also a man who would kill for the most banal of motives.

Ralf Warren: More than one and a half month ago, the constant friction between the Corsair Brotherhood and the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army escalated to the point of an all open war. After the Coalition destroyed the Brotherhood flagship Artemis, the Corsairs declared that "the complete anhilation of Coalition forces in Omega 49" would begin soon. The Coalition then issued a propaganda communication declaring that they would establish a military presence on Canaria to prevent the Corsairs from invading the planet.

Then... all hell broke loose. The next days, many locations all across Canaria's surface where bombarded by both parties. I was there, at the anual Chili festival in the most populated Corsair settlement when the first attack happened. I was in an undercover investigation about the bad quality of the Corsair produced food, when the first bomb hit right at the middle of the festival area.

Several people died in that first attack. Mostly corsairs. A few minutes later the Corsair Brotherhood issued another declaration stating that the Coalition was responsible for the attack, and started a daily campaing of orbital bombardment of Gran Canaria.

But, something always got me the creeps. Why would the Coalition and the Corsairs choose Omega 49 as a battleground? The answer: PLANETARY CONTROL! Both have strategic and logistic advantages by ocupying Canaria. It was nothing more than a staged act to have an excuse to deploy troops onto the surface. Proof, you say? We have proof. We have an exclusive image, from an anonymous source, showing that were the Corsairs themselves that bombarded their own settlement and blamed the Coalition!

At that date, the Coalition had no presence in Omega 49. Their ships only got there the next day! But no one knew that at the time, and the Brotherhood proceeded to deploy its troops on the planet.

But the Zoner population would not stand still. They soon rised against the invaders and their imposed Martial Law.

Huge riots erupted all around the planet. Some more violent, as we have shown, and others more 'intimate' and silent, like this gentleman I was lucky to meet...

But the bombardments continued. And the fights on the surface too. Scenes like this next one were common sight. This was a school. Two children and a teacher died.

And after more than one month of military ocupation, finaly last week I heard of a huge fleet of ships meeting in orbit of Gran Canaria. I was at the CNN office at Lanzarote station, so I took off in our Quick Response Unit to see what was going on. I found several Corsair, Zoner and Order ships.

Turns out the Order was mediating a meeting between Zoner representatives and the Brotherhood to negotiate the retreat of the Corsair troops from Canaria. After some heated debate, an agreement was made. While the Corsairs would take their troops back to Crete, OSI Security would lead a 'disarmament' of the revolted population, to avoid attacks against Corsair citizens living on the planet.

But the Corsairs made it clear, before leaving, that this was not the end. After a couple of weeks they would make contact again. For what? We still don't know exactly. One thing is certain: they have a clear agenda about Gran Canaria. Our beloved planet is clearly on their sights for the near future. We must prepare...

Well... After this encounter, a strange thing happened. Mr. VonCloud, head of OSI Security, and Admiral Golanski, head of the Order, started a very heated discussion about some classified information. Some package the Order was supposedly delivering. As no agreement was reached, both started to get irritated with each other. Suddenly, Adm. Golanski started throwing insults at Mr. Voncould, that would not budge for the admiral's requests, and finally exploded. In an outrageous manner, he attacked and destroyed Mr. Voncloud's ship!

A Zoner attacking other Zoner! We had enough of that lately. Gladly, Mr. Voncloud's escape pod was rescued. He was taken to Gran Canaria's Medical Center, but luckly has already been released with no severe injuries. The admiral then departed, and I saw the oportunity right then. Golanski does not make appointments for interviews. So I made a transmission through system-wide communications to 'provoke' him to talk to me... The entire interview was transmited live in Omega-49 and in the next segment of the show you will get to know a little of the polemic admiral.

Ralf Warren: Aaaaand we are back! Now, the whole interview with the madman Admiral Golanski of the Order, a man from Zoner origin, a man who would devote an entire fleet to peace in Canaria, and just after blow up a fellow Zoner ship without any good reason!

Here is the conversation as registered in our ships recorders. As I said before, Golanski and Voncloud were discussing about "information exchange" when the admiral lost his temper. Commander Davids from Taskforce One Four One was also present, and not very happy with Golanski. The admiral was piloting a ship called The Blade Itself:

Here, the Order ships started to go away, except the Sobek, which started patrolling the system. That was when I saw the oportunity to squeeze a few words from Golanski. And throwed that sarcastic sentence. He took the bait. Never thought he would talk that much!!

The man is really modest. "I gave them peace". Ha! Sure... Anyway, at this point, a Zoner Alliance carrier, Aquilon class, was approaching Gran Canaria. Adm. Golanski imediately ended the interview and moved to intercept the approaching vessel.

The guy really likes to shoot his guns, ahn? Anyway... With that, the admiral went back to the Omicrons. That was some wierd stuff going on there! What only makes me suspect even more that a hidden agenda exists concerning Gran Canaria.

Independently of those facts, when the news of the end of Martial Law and Corsair troops leaving Canaria went public, people started to cheer all around the planet. In Las Palmas there was even a giant cookie made to celebrate and distribuited to the people that lost their houses during the attacks.

No more bombs! Yeeeee! Well... at least for now. We are pretty sure that we will hear from the Corsairs and the Coalition again. We will be on the lookout!
