Colony News Service: Tension in Edge Worlds, Outcast Government in Jeopardy

Reports from upper Omicrons and Outcast territory indicates an escalating tension between the two major groups known as the 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, and the Contari Lance. Based on the statements of various eye-witnesses and certain inside sources, the two groups have been known for their disagreements and various experts had already predicted an inevitable civil war breaking out throughout the Outcast nation.

Based on our inside sources, this so-called "civil war" broke out yesterday, September 5th 819 A.S., when a Razgriz Ghosts taskforce attempted to lock down the system charted as Omicron-85, which resulted in use of force when a wing of Contari Lance fighters attempted entry. With the Contari don coming under fire, and Razgriz forces getting aid from an affiliated group known as Samarran Raiders, Contari pilots were forced to return fire and later claimed this incident as an act of treason and attempted to expel the Razgriz forces from the nation.

With a portion of Outcast population still being in support of the Razgriz, however, the attempt by Contari Lance dons did not succeed and in effect resulted each group to claim authority over the nation as a whole. Currently as we're broadcasting this transmission, we're receiving reports of various groups and well-known individuals of the Outcast nation each siding with the group they consider the rightful authority over their nation, and there are also rumors of each group reaching out to their foreign allies for assistance.
