the concept is this: using something like source code from the open source screen capturer CamStudio, every gaming session is recorded in a efficient low memory usage format stored in a folder of your choice (x264 @ fast preset, animation optimisation, current desktop resolution at RF28 video quality, 7 fps, no audio). And then when you close the game the software will ask you whether to keep the recording (which is by default saved and named).

If I could program, I would make it myself and name it SanctionLancer, but oh well.

One way to make it work is a program/batch script which starts up camstudio and freelancer via command line simultaneously, and then sends a command to camstudio to halt it once the program ends. Or perhaps camstudio could communicate with flhook, and make this feature a non-gameplay part of the mod?

the benefits of such a program would be a fraps cam that runs constantly, generating tiny files and without causing too much performance reduction. Of course you still need fraps for higher quality video, but this could be a good program for catching anything unexpected on film.

someone pls make this

No atmosphere? GTFO.
