Personally, I consider most (keyword "most") of the forums to be a Sirius Public Communications Database.
Message dumps and stories are exceptions. Mayhap next time you put the post under "Discovery Role-Playing Hub... Stories". This would greatly prevent confusion. (Hence Roleplaying (RP)-"Stories"... RP Stories!)
When it really comes down to it, its all opinionated as to what is and isn't public. A recommendation? "// This is a strictly interior happening and you, the reader cannot use this information for "you" your character. Love SCRA."

That's ridiculous. It would have 'This was broadcast throughout Sirius' in the story otherwise. For instance, if I put up a post about a character doing their washing up, and having thir ship stolen as they did so, would everyone in Sirius know?
No they wouldn't.
For instance, at present, Laowai has a roleplaying thing going on in which his Corsairs have spied upon the Outcasts. My character would be on his side, at least on these lines, yet doesn't have any knowledge of what's going on, so can't get involved. Hell, anything on the RP boards about what's going on in the Omicrons shouldn't be known to anyone in Liberty, for the most part, for instance. What goes on in Coalition bases shouldn't be known to anyone but them.
Keep player and character knowledge separate. The forums are for roleplay, yes. Roleplay does not mean 'Sirius Wide Colony News Service'.
