Now for those who know and participated in the SBRCC event, things were fun but not exactly a smooth process. Especially since Starfliers are susceptible to ramming unintentionally. During and after the event new ideas where spawned to make things even more fun! Here are some ideas that come to mind.
Make donations PRIOR to the event, recalculating and writing things down is a bit annoying, I loved the donations that were put on through, but it complicates things. Keep up the donations, but prior would to the event would be jolly good. ;)
Del spawned an idea about ship leagues, I'm fuzzy on the details. A ship type I think just one ship e.g. Patriot/Dagger/Bloodhound and then crown people who master them. Del enlighten me (again...)
An idea that sprung to my mind is what I call a "Killing Spree Free for All". In this event, you have 30 minutes (maybe more?) to kill as many people as you can, but here is the gem, you can REJOIN the fight until the timer runs out! No waiting for a champion! He who kills (or kill steals) becomes the champion! In case of a draw he who died the least wins. In case its still a draw an extra 10 minutes are added for all but only the tying players can win. Same ship type no bots/bats. Any equipment chip can handle. This would be great fun and I would play too.
Next time I organize one if ever, I'm putting a count down in the thread, an error was made in my part on the darn timezone. Turned out UK isn't GMT in summer, its DST. I face palmed and Boss, I take back any stick I gave in the event thread.
In future 'light fighter' events, no more darned bots or bats, this event took a lot longer than expected.
A betting 'group' I highly encourage, a lot of betting was going on in the spectator *ahem* defeated stand.
Monthly/Fortnightly battles? This would serve as extra practice and I saw people getting along very well, until someone pulled a Chuck Norris on a set of Starfliers in a bomber....
Anymore ideas for the brew of Battle Royal Events?

This was my idea a while back... no one came. no money involved maybe it'll help... by the way i am rubbish in a flea. I know that now.
Note now that i have seen things in action not all the logistics work here...
Quote:Be prepared for a glorious and fun time as we fight for personal honor and bragging rights in the Starflier Resurrection Battle!
Please read the rules below carefully.
Battle will begin promptly at 8:30 US Pacific arrive at 8 to allow time to register.
We will be meeting at the arena buoy between Red and Blue Stations in Connecticut.
rtfm.gif There will be no entry fee and no prize this time 'round. Since it is against the rules to create a new character to collect starting money I won't be trying that until after the admins give approval.

Two Hour Res Battle Rules:
rtfm.gif All players must be piloting a Starflier!
nono.gif No Cruise During the Battle.
All players must register with the Marshal in Charge(referee). That marshal will also have responsibility over the winners pot and be required to scan each player before each fight. The Marshal in Charge will also time the event and call a hold when two hours have elapsed.
nono.gif Players will not be allowed any bots or bats (sell them at Planet Manhattan for extra spending cash) and will be limited to Class 1 Weapons (any combination up to three). Mines, Missiles and Countermeasures are allowed!
Players can tractor in any loot to sell after being killed or returning to base to buy more expendables.
Players must get a screenshot of their reputation board before and after battle with the Marshal in the picture. This will help establish the amount of kills actually made during the battle.
Each player will choose a base to start from and dock then undock from that base. This will become the home base for this player. Player may dock at this base at any time during battle to rest.
Players begin battle at each home base. When "lay on" is called players will move into the battle zone at max thruster speed (thruster drift okay). In the event that other players start at the same base those players may not engage each other until engaging another player coming from the other direction.
Final kills will be tallied by the marshal in charge based on rep board screenshots sent in by email from all players.
Winner will be announced in the forums after all screenshots have been emailed.

Heres an idea, get a few players with gunboats to take off their guns and hover in place, make it even harder to get around, since they gotta not slam into the gb or other capitals watching
