Lieutenant Rivers here,
I am writing to you, since it is requested that pilots give notice when they foresee not meeting the current activity requirements for a slot in the first fleet roster. WIth this message, I would like to request being moved to the reserve roster or the secondary fleet until I am able to meet the activity requirements again.
It is with no ill feelings I write, I enjoy my time with the Navy and will continue to. The navy is my life and I feel connected to it and doubt that I will ever truly leave it again. Still, it would be unfair to occupy a primary roster slot when I cannot meet the standards of the first fleet. So this message is only a formality with no ill forebodings or ill feelings and I will write again once I am ready to fly with the first fleet again.
