While going through the commodities for cargo piracy I came across something interesting. It seems Lanthanum is sold cheapest on the smugglers dock behind Leeds (229) but can only be bought with freighters or smaller and the next best price being New York (1553).

So my question is this; would it be worth adding a buy price to the Leeds PoB for Lanthanum for around 800?

I'd like names for bases in Hokkaido, Leeds, Stuttgart and Ontario. All the info you need is in the first post of this thread, I keep it updated.

Juarez is good for the Texas PoB.

For Hokkaido "Akihabara" might be good, although the black market was mostly a post-WWII thing. Still, its a decent name, interesting place. Or "Fukutoku" site of the largest bank heist in Japanese history, and an easily mangled name.

But Sunagawa is also fine, if you want to keep to names within Hokkaido itself.

I think adding as many commodities as possible is a good idea, especially if it is profitable in-system (convenient). B/c these prices and routes don't show up on FLC or commodity infocards you're depending on word of mouth, curiosity and random luck to get people to use your base so the more possible ways of discovering a profit, the better.

Some interesting name ideas Pel, I'll add them to the main post. Regarding the Lanthanum, it's the pricing I'm unsure of, too high and it'll be ignored. Too low and no one will sell to the PoB.

In other news, I've contacted all the navy and police factions for the four Houses requesting feedback. Consequently I've been asked to move the Hokkaido base further from the jumpholes, to this end I've suggest B5, halfway between the Rishiri and Kyushu holes.
As ever, feedback and suggestions are welcome on this new turn of events.

After a bit more crunching I've come up with three sets of prices for Lanthanum:

BAF Leeds: 229

Leeds PoB: 750 - Import (500 cargo) Profit: 260,500

Leeds PoB: 800 - Import (500 cargo) Profit: 285,500

Leeds PoB: 900 - Import (500 cargo) Profit: 375,000

Personally I'm thinking the 900 price is pretty good, 375k for a quick hop between Leeds and the PoB which hopefully should ensure good supply and the price is still 653 credits per unit lower than buying at New York.

What do you folks think?

Bit of a lapse in updates but the worst of it is done so now it's down to picking names. I've added a few more relating to famous thefts, here's the selection so far:

Hokkaido - Sunagawa, Fukutoku, Akihabara
Leeds - Wakefield, Knightsbridge
Stuttgart - Leonburg, Bad Hersfeld
Texas - Juarez, Dunbar

The Bad Hersfeld one was a theft of Nutella, some useless trivia for you there.

I'll be accepting ideas or votes for one week after that everything is going to be nailed down and finally submitted. So if you want to speak your mind or on behalf of your faction you have until next Saturday.

I'm going to be mothballing this idea until the server quality picks up, as it stands now these PoBs would probably be destroyed within the first two weeks not to mention almost zero input for any of the factions.

I'd like to thank those who gave their input but sadly if the factions aren't even willing to type out a post I'm not going to waste my time or credits.
