Quote: gb's and below for pirates would make sense across the board.
Agree totally
it really fits the roleplaying expierience even in real life pirates you dont see em moving around the ocean in Battleships destroyers ect ect even back in the age of sail they would have medium ships
even blackbeard only had a frigate, cause large ships would be to hard to escape in and Hide
(this is just for RP sense) i know it cant be done cause then no more pew pew
Instead of SRPing non House cap ships maybe limit their size to something like a cruiser or frigate. A smaller ship that would still let those who enjoy flying caps to have one but not stretching the lore to breaking point.

+1
Also about the Zoners stuff. Better leave it as it is or do separate lines. Taking the opinion of the Three official factions first is also must before messing with their ships.
Giving the generics Zoner ships would be horrible idea- this would reduce the already low activity of the said factions.
Don't give anything to generics-trading the organised type of the gameplay (read official factions) is one of the main reasons to have unorganised generics and indies moving around.
Since they are unorganised they does not lolwut in big numbers. Indies are not in big numbers and are scatted around because of the second big reason- the idiotic system layout and idiotic system numbers.
Then the people check the list in the forum and decide that 50 random players laggy server is not worth it to logg- main reason 3- the terrible lag. Hence the low server population.

Funny, 50 a day is still more than double the peak population when I started playing Disco in 4.80. Based on my past experiences, such a reduction would be a good thing. Its worth noting that at this time, disco was already the most populous server, as the microsoft master server was still running and had a complete list.
As it stands, content doesn't need to be removed, but something does need to happen.
Either, every class can kill every other class regardless of cost or size
or
The classes that require teamwork to take down become restricted according to the level of teamwork needed to take them down.
Previously this mod adhered to the former. After the many nerfs to bombers and the Supernova, which could originally be fired on fighters albeit in a very different form, it does neither. Good news for cap pilots, bad news for snub pilots. That said, since then, the price of caps has gone up by nearly 1500% if you want to max their armour out.
If we're talking about ships that don't make sense, there's a lot out there. While Corsairs and Outcasts probably do have the resources and manpower to make one or two battleships, they would represent incredibly large investments and if lost, would be a significant, possibly war-losing loss. How many fighters does it take to make a battleship?
Taking that as an assumption, you would have to scrutinise the presence of every cruiser, battlecruiser and battleship class and ask yourself if each faction could:
1. build them
2. maintain them
3. crew them
4. survive as a faction if they lost their investment.
For an awful lot of factions, the answer to one or more of those questions seems, to me, to be "no".
