Okay, first of all - If you have a solid black texture that remains on any background, its a dead pixel yes, which means the liquid fluid is free. The only way to solve this issue is to take a tow with hot water and gently massage the dead area - Don't press on it too much else it will release even more liquid. Some screens have a tendency to fix themselves overtime, its probably due to the angle, or the way you position the screen - upwards downwards.

As for defects, its human intervention - which means unless you are willing to do the above/get a new one you are stuck.

Last minute edit : Also, the liquid will eventully spread - and while you wont see new effects its a proccess but eventully the "hole" will be wider and wider.

Were fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

Since there is no option: I had defective pixel/s and I hated it.
I vote for: I don't have defective pixel/s as of current
because currently I do not have any...

Fortunately, on one of the monitors at work I was able to massage the spot - so the pixel disappeared.

Had one on my old LCD monitor. I simply tapped it a few times and it fixed itself. Hue.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

Someone cracked the bottom screen on one of my DS Lites, which put a bunch of dead pixels around it. Luckily it's in the corner, so not that much of a problem

Then there's my MP3 player, that only has a little bit of the top right corner lit up. Still works, but it's hard with no screen

My old Gameboy SP had a large circle of dead pixels because I left it in the car overnight at around -10.

Wound up taking it apart because it was useless after that.

Edit: I should clarify, -10 Fahrenheit, not Celcius
