I swear history tells us that explorers tend to meet a lot of violence on their journeys. Definitely adversity.

Past that, if there's any other even slightly attractive option, people will take it. (Assuming the model has not changed.)

I've seen both KusExes and Condors out there. Not very many, but they're out there. What I haven't seen many of are Montantes.

I think GBs as a whole have taken more of a back seat ever since 2 updates ago when GB Solaris were adjusted, so they went from being excellent snub killers (albeit maybe slightly OP) back to just marginal use.

I wouldn't mind seeing GBs get some more tweaking to make them more usable.

Back to OP. KuEx used to be the only thing a FL , Pirate or any "generic" ID could use, thus having so many of them. At least I guess...
Dunno about weapons tweaking, cause atm, I'm flying transports and fighters mostly. Only met a Monate once, but I liked it.

We have these civilian gunboats right now:
Condor-Light can match to some extent other light GBs

Montante-Medium core/Light GB Turn rate(even close to that of the Bnose) and one of the best GB right now.

And here comes the KuEx-Fat, slow I mean very slow. It has 5 less turn speed than the second slowest GB, and it is even slower than the Kusari Destroyer and the Order Cruiser!?!?!? Why!? 7 guns cant match to its profile and the only + it gets is the core.

Now go ask yourself why do ppl prefer to use GBs with 75% like the Asco, instead of this fatty. It is still a beautiful ship, it just needs some love.
