Greetings.

Besides the Alien Gate in Kansas, the destroyer size NPC bases, and the Leeds Satellite, which other gates/bases have ship size restrictions?

And these all can be accessed by freighters, am I correct?

hmm... always thought about ship-size-depending restrictions, too. but since i heard from a friend that he docks his (Bretonian) BS on Planet Leeds i do not know, what really is restricted.

seems to be very strange, if BS can dock and bigger transports cannot....

i could dock an Anki (~500 cargo) on Planet Leeds (Bretonian side) but it didn't work with a pelican (~650 cargo), this makes clear that not every freighter can dock there. maybe someone is able to explain the restrictions more exact?

The Pelican counts as a transport (a very light one). Only ships freighter size (<650 cargo) or lower can dock on those bases.

@ Spacedragon, I think you or your friend is confused about Planet Leeds, you see on one side Gallia has control of the docking ring, so anyone that docks using that will be able to dock with any ship, however on the other side of Planet Leeds is a Bretonian satellite, anyone that docks with this satellite must be using a freighter or a smaller ship.

Also a pelican isn't a freighter, it's a small transport which is why it couldn't dock but the Anki (freighter) could.

@ OP, I think you pretty much got em all.

Edit: Ninja'd.

@Sonic.Rainboom + Danny-boy: thanks for replies! you're both right: pelican is a transport (and has 800 cargo) and hence it cannot dock.

but there's still this strange thing with the bret. BS - i asked my friend again, he confirmed -once more- that he HAD DOCKED his BRETONIAN BS on Planet's Leeds BRETONIAN side (satellite) - it CANNOT DOCK on the other side (because it's GRN=hostile).

still confused about that...

If that's true then I'm also confuzled seeing as a BS is much much larger than a freighter.

I believe your friend is lying to your face

I decided to get a Bret BS and attempted to dock on the bret side, I got the message that my ship was indeed to big to even dock with it. I tried on both a FL ID and Bret ID

Then I tried with the smallest battleship possible and still no luck
Then I tried with a more newer ship, the Bret carrier, still nope

The only possible way he could of done it is using the base command on single player which then puts you on the Bret side of Planet Leeds with whatever ship you are using

(This is single player mind you.)

The alien gate in Kansas, the Leeds object thing, destroyer sized NPC bases
Add:
Docking rings to I guess if you want, I think its also the same way for Heavens Gate as well in Tohoku, also

And only the following can dock with them: LF, HF, VHF (SHF's cannot), light bombers, like 2 heavy bomber's only, light freighters (repair ships, heavy lifters, and the AT don't count)

Everything else cannot dock with these things
