Thank you all for your opinions. I always thought that the base is much more easy to maintain. Thanks again.

Here is a calculation about how much money and time each module costs:

Don't forget that you need 3 core upgrades (and core3 and 4 also requires some RP with the base), and time depends on how far you have to go for the different materials.

Quite honestly I would very seriously advice not even attempting to build a base alone - you need 3 pilots absolute minimum all of which who log in regularly. I would recommend at least twice that to maintain a base and keep it going. I used to have a base and for various reasons that wasn't the fault of the other players I worked with on building it ended up maintaining it alone - it contributed in a significant way to the level of activity I have now which is maybe one night a week only on freelancer while I used to be on considerably more. I literally started burning out and began to not spend hardly any more time than necessary on FL.

To summarise - players bases should never be done solo, only with 5 or more players.

Make sure you trust the people that you are hiring to help you out.
Backstabbers do exist.
Good players exist too.

Edit: I find base building unique in that you need a team to build one. Just sucks that sometimes real life issue get in the way and you need to start juggling at times.

Pro tip: Make sure FWO and RA/HS/Robotics are close.

In case you're a rookie/noob - this means Food, Water, Oxygen, Reinforced Alloys, Hull Segments, and Robotic Hardware - all base building/maintaining materials needed to keep a base supplied and alive

Maintaining a core 1 base wasn't that hard solo. I had one near the Kansas jh in Humboldt for a while. Nice cobalt storage. It wasn't that hard to do. I enjoyed ir. Getting caught was always a risk. Sneaking around was fun.

Just don't. Someone bigger and badder than you will find you and just muscle you out. If you don't belong to an official faction, It doesn't matter where you put your base, someone will lay claim to it and find a way push you out. Your time, and the time of those that helped you will ultimately be wasted.
