Julia was born on Freeport 10, in 800 A.S, to a family with a history for smuggling. Her parents risked her life, in a way. They took her on smuggling trips with them, when she turned five years old. Over the years, all she saw, everything she learned was how to smuggle... so her only interest was smuggling. I mean, she was practically, doing it ever since she was a baby. Looking back at her family tree line, most of them were smugglers at some point in their life.
When she turned eighteen years old, she began doing smuggling runs on her own, in a little freighter she bought from a dealer on one of the Freeports. At this point in her life, she was happy with what she was doing. She hasn't been caught, she makes a good amount of credits, and most of all, she was having fun while doing it. As she became older, she became interested in the Outcasts. When she heard about the Crimson Cross, she knew this could be the place where she would fit in. Unfortunately for her, joining them, would mean leaving a lot of things behind, like her parents. A very tough decision was placed in front of her, and she decided that joining Crimson Cross could be for a brighter future. She gave her last goodbyes to her parents, leaving behind her beloved transport, and headed straight to Valetta Shipyard, to get geared up and receive appropriate papers.
All in all, I guess you can say her life is a bit...plain, really. Maybe in the future there would be something, more interesting, to say about her life. As for now, Julia proudly serves under the Crimson Cross, doing what she knows best, smuggling.
[Nefarious outside Malta ready to depart to Rheinland]=========

This rusty, old Shetland class Bretonian train was said to have been left over after the civil war. Months ago, a experienced smuggler, Julia Narvaez, found this transport stuck between two large rocks in the Tau 37 system. Being fairly new to the Crimson Cross, she didn't know if it was worth reporting. The ship peeked her interest, due to how large it was. She knew she could haul more cargo in it, than her current ship.
She reported what she had found, and days later, Julia managed to activate the ships engine systems, and get it running. Despite being in a dangerous situation, her mindset was to get the ship, even if it could mean death. She managed to get the ship out of the two large rocks, but unfortunately, the ships engines weren't exactly in a good shape. It was unable to cruise, so she made her long way, on impulse speed, to Valetta Shipyard, where right before arrival, the Shetlands engines bailed out, causing a loud explosion in the main reactor.
Julia took it upon herself to re-create the original engine that was used on it, but failed to do so, due to the foreign technology. She couldn't get her hands on the parts she needed, so she worked with what she had. With the help of some engineers, they created a engine, similar to what the "Pitbull" pirate train has. They took it off a scrapped Pitbull, and modified to give it more power so it can make this heavy machine move. They were successful with their experiment, and she later named it Nefarious, meaning wicked. Julia always had a thing for transports, and this one, in her words, was wicked.
The Nefarious is now used within the Crimson Cross, under her command, smuggling Cardamine to Rogues and Junkers, and bringing back needed supplies to Malta.

Santiago Cortez hails from Planet Malta. Santiago had lived on his familys tradition of being one of the largest Cardamine growers on Malta. The pilot grew up growing and shipping cardamine, and continues to do so for the Maltese growers today. Santiago shifted towards the light of the Holy Order after a tragic event. The Crusaders brothers had fallen to a Core attack in Tau-29, and for a time Santiago was bitter, until he took up the reigns of the smuggling operation in the family. After a period of time, Santiago had found his way to the Holy Order, and pledging allegiance to the spirits and praying for vengeance on his brothers. Cortez currently resides as a Teniente in the Holy Order, now under command of a Tridente Gunboat class named for the faithful of Malta. the Cortez's family smuggling craft, the "Navarra" also now resides as Santiagos personal asset for the Cross. Cortez's role is still relatively undefined in the long run of the Cross.

The Navarra is the family smuggling craft of the Cortez family, now reconditioned as a combat transport yet still with the ability for smuggling intact. The ship is in use by its original owner Santiago Cortez. The ship functions now as a smuggling craft but also a combat support transport if needed in the field of battle.

Mancio Parrella was the only son of Valerico Parrella, the head of the fairly prosperous and powerful Parrella family. Mancio spent most of his life in idle luxury, content to live off his father’s successes. That is not to say Mancio was incompetent, he did in fact have a good mind for business, he just preferred going to parties, getting wasted, and getting in trouble to working towards anything productive . He would be just useful enough to prevent his father’s ire but never anything more.
He was 57 when the sudden death of his father changed everything. He suddenly found himself the head of a family full of cousins, uncles, and aunts that believed they were more qualified for the position. Fearing that one of his jealous relatives would make a play for his title he made a drastic move. He made a deal with the Crimson Council, he would pledge his family and all its resources in exchange for a personal seat on the Council itself.
Not even his most ambitious rivals would risk sparking a conflict of the entirety of the Crimson Cross by assassinating a member of their Clergy. However, Mancio soon realized that even though his life and position was secure, his time partying and not giving a damn was over. There was a lot of work to do in regards to reuniting his family behind him on top of various undesirable jobs that was pushed onto him by higher ranking members of the Crimson Council.
