Subject: Meteor debris hitting Reutlingen

Guten tag,

Last night there were problems near Reutlingen Storage Facility. Several Miners have reported a few big asteroids floating around the system and one near the station. After they have seen a big light we decided the miners to report back to Reutlingen Storage Facility and Elbich Mining Facility.

Few hours later, one of the security officers on Reutlingen Storage Facility noticed a strange object heading towards the station. The station was on code yellow, the object seemed to duplicate as it progressed towards the station. The station was unable to scan the object at great distance, until it came closer. It seemed to be a big asteroid accompanied by meteor shower. The station switched after that to code red. The sirens started to horn and the station turned into chaos.

There was little hope to save the station, despair was found everywhere. But the security and administrator Michaela Schäfer managed to think of a way to destroy the asteroid by using the combined power of station’s defensive grid and bomber security wing, but not without the consequences. The station turrets power relays had to be overcharged by rerouting the energy from many other systems to make the output energy needed to destroy the asteroid. Relays across the station burned out as a result. Several systems were damaged as well. Dozens of the numerous smaller asteroid remains made their way past the security grid and grazed docking port three of the station, but that’s nothing serious in the end.

We have to commend our superior bomber wing for the extraordinary job they have done. They have along with the station turret operators the ones who did save many civilian lives. However, before we can resume to normal business the station has to undergo needed repairs on the docking port three as well as replacement of the numerous damaged relays and systems. The stations hull has received a beating too, for that we have to make a secure environment for restoring the damage on the station. During this time the defensive weapon grid will be turned offline to fully power the shield to give the engineers a safe environment for working. It will also decrease the time needed for making the repairs. An estimated duration will be 48 hours, until the defensive weapon grid will be repaired and activated again.

We recommend all customers of Krüger Mineralien to bare with us during the station repairs. Business will continue from the Elbich Mining Facility. For the customers directly suffering from the outage of Reutlingen Storage Facility, we recommend to contact miners from Krüger Mineralien directly from Elbich Mining Facility during this time. We have instructed our miners with Kruger| markings to offer mining services at half the price than those on the Reutlingen as compensation. Silver and Cobalt ore will be mined for 1500 credits per unite while the copper ore will be unavailable during this period. We apologize for the trouble it might cause for your corporations.

Once again thank you for your understanding and we hope this will bring us further together. We might even need to think on expanding the station. If that will happen, more business contracts will occur in a short time.

Mit freundlichen grüßen,
Administrator of Reutlingen Storage Facility, Michaela Schäfer

Guten tag,

Due to the unforeseen side effects of relay explosions, repairs aboard Reutlingen Storage Facility lasted longer than expected. We apologize to our customers for this unexpected delay, it was necessary to ensure safety of both the station and the people on board.

During the repairs, the supplies levels have majorly dropped. The station has to be resupplied by our own employees, during which we decided to sell out all our current storages of Silver, Cobalt and Copper ore for 1500 S.C. per unit.

This decision was made, as a result for a future investment for the station to be upgraded. While the station did undergo huge repairs, it would be the right time for this investment to be made. The shield will be turned offline and the weapon platforms will be activated again.

Mit freundlichen grüßen,
Administrator of Reutlingen Storage Facility, Michaela Schäfer
