Perhaps good to add to the guide, making the font look proper and in the right proportions is easiest if you simply download and install the "Agency FB" font and install it into Windows. Worked great for me. It doesn't seem to be automatically installed by the game or the Discovery installer.

I'm triyng to play but the launcher want an upgrade with a trojan inside (says my AV). Is there a way to avoid it or patch manualy ?
Another point, I'm an old player (2013) and I kept my freelancer ID, how can I restore my account ?
Any game files that trigger Anti-Virus action will cause issues. Best practice is to set an exception for the game directory within your chosen AV program.
In regards to your ships, best to send in a Veteran's Aid Request. Follow the instructions there and we'll see if there's anything that can be recovered. To give you an inmediate answer, I don't believe inactive assets from 10+ years ago exist anymore.
I've been attempting to run a local DS server but it's not allowing me to join the server.
- I installed both Freelancer and Discovery from the links provided from this post
- Haven't changed any ini's or added any other mods ( aside from HDE, which run from a seperate folder so shouldn't interfere? i.e. a seperate install not on top of DS )
- I can log in fine to an online server
Locally though, it keeps logging "bad installation checksum" and kicking me for suspected cheating. Any assistance would be appreciated.
