I'm also under the impression that anyone can post a public bounty on anyone else, as long as its not a metagame. If you've seen/interacted with ship/character, you can post a bounty, and then any FL or equivalent ID could claim, even yourself. Is it not still this way? And in the case of posting an inrp bounty its up to you who you will allow to claim, so limiting to AFC guys seems like no biggie since it is in the same league as FL.

the difference is AFC has different restrictions on their ID than LR or XA ....
It is based off of bounties and targets. not a general red = dead

I dont want to have it posted for others to do it since in lore it makes sense that the faction itself will take care of businesses (TCB) and show up banging if we dont get the payment from the bet as an example

Like for now we are using the stuff here as the FL ID has
Quote:Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a Freelancer, who:

Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an friendly or allied ship.
Can fulfill any bounty and escort contracts, and may treat transports as combat targets when executing a bounty or escort contract against them.
Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.

maybe the solution is to propose another line?

From what I understand of the rules, if instead of:

"Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a Freelancer, who:"

it said:

"Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a member of the Archangels Fighter Club, who:"

You would no longer be a 'generic' freelancer faction, and:

"11. Any freelancer or BHG individual or group may only collect on a bounty which that person or group has issued, sponsored or funded (fully or partly) so long as it is open to others to collect. All non-generic factions may sponsor internal bounties that are only open to members of the player or NPC faction."

So any faction (apart from those on Freelancer, Indie Miner, Pirate IDs) can list in-faction-only bounties...

Also, you don't have to be hostile to individual targets, you just need an RP reason to list a bounty against them, see Bounty rule 9:

"9. The character registered on a board must be at least neutral to their employer, and hostile to the faction they are targeting in a bounty. This does not apply to assassination missions where the target is a single character. Board owners are obliged to ensure that the persons they are hiring have a suitable reputation. This means no hiring or paying people who would be hostile to you based on previous actions or non-hostile with the targets they claim."

I'd imagine you would have to propose some sort of ZoI or something so you don't just become the "Freelancer+" ID Big Grin

I think there used to be a Server Rule which stated that a player who used their own bounties as a means to circumvent ID limitations could be sanctioned. So if you run faction ABC- and your ID lets you treat bountied transports as combat targets, then you bounty faction XYZ- and start killing their transports without demands, you'd get in trouble. With that, you've essentially used a loophole to be able to kill transports left and right.

I just tried searching for this rule, but couldn't find it, so I'm not sure why/when it was removed, or if it even exited in the first place. Nonetheless, that's why [UC] doesn't let its members fulfill any of our internal bounties on transports, unless they're already bountied elsewhere. With no current standing rule (that I could find), it's now just a fair play consideration.

I think the main issue here is not if you can or not issue the "individual" bounty, or if you can make it internal or not.

I believe the main problem is this one

Quote:2. All faction IDs are allowed to claim bounties within their zone of influence. Generic IDs are only allowed to claim bounties if clearly specified in the ID description.

11. Any freelancer or BHG individual or group may only collect on a bounty which that person or group has issued, sponsored or funded (fully or partly) so long as it is open to others to collect. All non-generic factions may sponsor internal bounties that are only open to members of the player or NPC faction.

If you're a non-generic faction now, you can issue the bounty, but your members can only actively chase it inside the faction Zoi (which I believe you didn't have?). On the other hand, if you have no zoi and are considered a freelancer faction (generic), you could chase the bounty everywhere, but then you could not issue it... unless it's an individual bounty.

You're considered a generic/freelancer faction, so no, you can't issue internal contracts.

Having an official faction ID is irrelevant here, because official faction IDs are equivalents of the open ID each faction became official with. So, your ID is simply an "official ID for one specific group of freelancers", but a freelancer ID nevertheless.

Edited cuz it is early and i checked again:
I'd like to talk with some admins please and ty via S.K.Y.P.E. channels.
In this case I believe the rules are ... how to put it... "rules are getting in the way of mai Rp, Brooooo"
