Hey, long time no see. I came across some more interesting things regarding fractals recently, so here are some techdemos:

A Blossom
The flame fractal, created by GIMP flame fractal renderer. Great possibilities with little effort, this is not the best example, but gives a rough idea of what can be done using the chaotic maps. A typical flame fractal is in one of Xing's (Yue's) sigs (the blue one).



Nomadic Purples
This fractal was rendered with Apophysis. I am still getting used to it (actually this was my first try), but I love the colorisation possibilities and the effects these fractals can have.
