[+]Before the interview
A middle aged black man reaches Flora's cell. On his left a small camera is hovering two meters exactly above the ground.
- Hello Flora? Is it okay to call you "Flora"? I am Mohammed Jameel, from BBC.
She was sitting on the bed, leaning against the wall with her knees under her chin.
- Hey.
She put her legs down. She was speaking silently and looked somewhat tired.
- It's okay to call me like that, no worries.

The cage doors opened automatically when the journalist approached them and he sat on a basic chair at the opposite of the Gaian.
- Excellent. You are not nervous, good. We can begin recording at your signal. Would like something to drink first?
- I am nervous.
Her tone had signs of resignation.
- And yes, I'd love some tea, to be honest.

He wrote it in his pad and soon afterwards one of the crew brought some tea to the cell.
- Then I hope this tea will help your nerves.
She smiled faintly.
He tried to smile back though he was clearly not comfortable in front of a terrorist.
- Seems like I have to get a BBC reporter in here to get a cup of tea... Thank you.
She looked at him curiously while taking a sip.
- You seem to be as nervous as I am.

- Nah it's fine. It's just too hot in here.
He deflected.
- A word of advice before we begin? Do not forget to answer to the questions. If, as you claim, seek support from the populace, you will need to answer my questions.
- As if something could help me right now...
She sighed.

- So shall we begin?
She took another sip of tea.
- Yeah, no need to delay it.

- Hello dear viewers, this is Mohammed Jameel from "Right with Mike" show and we have obtained an exclusive interview with a captured member of the Gaian Guard. Hello Flora, how are you?
- Tired, annoyed and lacking proper looks for this.
She smiled.

- Aha I see. So what's your real name? Would you like to share it with us?
She sighed.
- I bet my parents are already watching this... It's Kate. Kate McKinley.

He nodded.
- So let's take things from the beginning. Who captured you and how?
- I sort of surrendered myself... You can say I was unable to resist at the moment. As to who it was... Mister Aaron Clarke and Miranda O'Neal from ExSec.
- So ExSec was behind your capture. No wonder why you were brought into Canary Wharf. Have you been treated badly here?
- They didn't gave me any tea, so I think I can say yes.
The journalist tried to laugh.
- She has a fiery spirit, doesn't she?
She tilt her head slightly, looking at him. She seemed slightly amused by him.
- So you were a "Diplomat" in your cell right? Would you like to tell us more about your position inside the Gaian Guard?
- Well... I am a diplomat outside of this cell either. Or I was. I'm the one that handles talking, in short.
- That means you know a great deal about your organization. What would you like to tell the people of Bretonia about the Gaian Guard?
- Well, first and most obvious. Media like to lie about us. A lot.
When Flora said that, the journalist's hand twitched a bit.
- Siding with this, doing that, betraying with other... You guys make us look like the only thing we're about is dooming Bretonia.
- Which is, well, wrong.

- So you are saying that this is all a giant conspiracy targetting the Gaians?
- Define "this".
- The media and journalists of Bretonia. And the courts, of course.
- Courts are okay. Large part of media and journalists are not.
- But Gaians have been condenmed by all the courts of Bretonia, Flora.
- They do things according to the law. They don't make up facts, they don't listen only to things they like. Unlike media.
- At least, I hope that's the case with our courts.
She took a sip of tea.

- Yes and they consider you guilty for various offences. Terrorism, murder, formation of terrorist organization, smuggling, and so on.

He continued.
- It is well-doumented that one of your group's main allies is the so-called Corsair-Empire. I am not going to mention the Gallics since your group fiercely denies that.
- I'm not going to deny our contacts with Corsairs. I think we can compare that to Crown's relations with Outcasts.
- With the sole difference that Corsairs actually are interested in our cause.

The journalist coughed.
She stopped when he coughed.
- So you are claiming that a hispanic nation of savages who murders and raids our southern borders, is interested in your cause. How do you justify their actions of savagery and you went as far as to befriend them?
- You said it as if being hispanic makes someone bad by deafult. I'm also not going to deny that some Corsair raiders are indeed going too far with what they're doing. Why did we "befriend" them? It's simply because lots of them understand what we're fighting for.
The Gaian performed quite well on camera so the BBC journalist was forced to quickly change the topic.
- What do you say to those who accuse the Green Front of having links with the Gaian Guard?
- Have you been interrogated about it?
- No. And I'm not aware of any connections other than the same cause.
- So you are claiming that the Green Front is not recruiting for the Gaians and is not economically supporting them.
- Yes.
She took a sip of tea.

The journalist checked that he was running out of time and hastily made the next question.
- Do you think the rest of your cell will follow your steps and surrender as well, after one of their most public members was captured?
She smiled and shook her head.
- No. I'd rather expect the exact opposite.

He nodded, though he clearly did not believe that.
- Kate. Do you wish the Bretonians to defeat the Gallic invaders?
- I do.
- I pray that you are truthful to this. One last question before we have to end this conversation.
- During wartime, terrorists receive the capital punishment by law. Unless you cooperate in Newgate and provide the authorities with valuable information of course. So this is probably the last time you have a chance to speak to your parents. Which are your final words to them?
She made a sad smile, thinking over her words. She then looked at the camera after a moment of silence.
- I'm sorry.
She fell silent again.

Mohammed finally made one genuine smile.
- And that was the interview with the diplomat of the Gaian Guard, Flora. This is Mohammed Jameel exclusive from "Right with Mike"!
Flora forced herself to make a slight smile.

[+]After the interview
The recording light of the camera turned off and the man could finally loose his tie a bit.
- It's good that you made peace with your family, little girl. Before your end.
She didn't say anything, bursting into quiet sobbing as soon as they stopped filming.
He stood up and without another word he hastily left Flora's cell.
5 minutes later Flora noticed a tiny piece of paper lying beneath the small chair.
She slowly stood up when she noticed the paper and began to walk around the cell, trying to calm down. She made few rounds around the cell, trying to figure a way to pick it up. During one of her countless loops around the cell she crouched next to the chair, pretending to loosen her shoes. Flora then took the paper with a slight move of her hand and stood up, continuing her walk around the cell. After making few more round she lied down on the bed, curling up. She then read the paper, hiding it from the camera.
The paper was hastily written. It was saying:
"Do not give up. We have not forgotten you. -GF"
Her face didn't show any kind of reaction. She squeezed the paper in her hand and closed her eyes, trying to move her thoughts away from the execution.
