Irrelevant, when importing into Vegas, it asks you if you want to set the rendered file the same resolution as the files you’re importing

Vegas doesn't like FRAPS videos as far as I remember.

These videos have been recorded with FRAPs, however it never had a problem before.

Edit: I've also tried finding a decent Avi to Mp4 converter but I can't find one. They all seem to leave horrible water marks.

Edit2: Could Win10 be a problem?

was Vagas installed when you upgraded to 10 ? could be its become broken by the process. reinstal it ?
that VLC can play them suggests theres nothing realy wrong with the files themselves.
http://www.digital-digest.com/software/category-29.html should have a suitable mp4 converter.

Yeah it was, but I told Win10 to wipe everything and format my laptop. I've also uninstalled and installed it several times. Oh, and thanks for the converter. I'll give this a try.

I'm afraid that didn't work and the converter you linked made the files in a horrendously low quality video. Oh well, I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help!

I suppose I can record the original videos that I have. IE open up the video, record it with something else (Like OBS) and then try that way.

Edit: So, @Alley helped me out over Skype. Apparently all I needed to do was reinstall FRAPs and it worked! Kudos to Alley. Thank you to the rest for trying to help though.
