Exiles objectives:
Hold off the KNF fighters for at least five minutes to create a diversion for the Tomozoru to upload the virus (Primary objective)
Destroy the KNF fighters so they can't pursue (Secondary objective)
At least one of the Exile fighters must survive (Tertiary objective)

KNF Objectives:
Destroy the attacking exile fighter wing (Primary objective)
Manage to destroy or rout them in at least 5 minutes to prevent the Tomozoru from executing her goal (Secondary objective)
Pursue the Exile Gunboat fleeing with the transports if the above is completed (Tertiary objective)

Samura objectives:
Pretend to be abducted by the gunboat closing in to not raise suspicion (Primary objective)
Get safely to the IKS Nagasaki, if necessary by spreading out and pretending to have been boarded while the gunboat fends pursuers off (Secondary objective)

During a routine convoy escort, KNF fighters escort a convoy of Samuran transports carrying the prototype materials and blueprints for a new model of Antimatter cannon to Research station Nansei. Halfway there, they get ambushed by a wing of five exile fighters - and wrongly assuming them to be a threat to the transports, the KNF engage them, diverting from the transports themselves.

Left without cover, the transports are helpless (or at least want to be) when the Tomozoru, commanded by Admiral Sakuma herself shows up. In a daring move, she brought her ship the long way from Tottori, using the fighters as a diversionary force and uploading a virus into the neural nets of the pre-informed Samuran ships.

Retreating after the virus upload, the Exiles draw the fighter wing even farther away and make a tracking of the vessels impossible. After the crew got dropped off at Shinkaku, the Exiles now have the means to supply themselves again - finally.

Consequences:
The re-acquiring of transport vessels makes further operations inside farther territories (Kusari, most likely) more viable. The new blueprints and materials give them furthermore the ability and the obligation to at least try to construct the weapon.
Losing four fighters is a harsh blow, but was a calculated risk.

The KNF will most likely reinforce their presence in Kyushu now, knowing that the Exiles have become not only active, but also more daring again.

What a thrill that flight was! A cunning dupe to save our souls from the clutches of those Kishiro lackeys, the KNF!

It is with regret that I leave behind my friends at Samura, people who have become as a family to me, honourable people, who I think will continue to strive to bring Kusari back to it's former glory in the ways they know best.

But it is time for me to move on now and work alongside those who directly serve the true Emperor.

The sights I have seen this day, and the fearless warriors I have had the honour to fly with...

And of course, my new home amongst them...




With luck, this ship and the cargo it carries provide a small contribution to the struggle against the oppressive heel of Kishiro's reign over the House I call my home.

Fellow ex-Samura employees, members of the Dai 343 Kaigun Kokutai, arigato for your companionship on this journey, and I am glad to hear we made it through without any loss to your forces!
