Okay so as the title suggests its time to replace my desktop mic that picks up everything i do at my desk, i.e typing with a headset. I'd kinda like a decent one but don't want to spend a massive amount of money on one. Any suggestions, budget is around £25-30

I can't recommend the Plantronics Gaming RIG enough. It's out of your budget, a bit, but trust me, it's one of the best around.

I might look into it regardless, i'm quite happy to shell out more than i would if the thing will last a couple years. I spent £80 on Sennheiser headphones four years ago and still work perfectly despite me blasting my music full volume on my SRS Sound card almost everyday since i got them. I do like my music. My car with it's 8 250W speakers (Four front, two in each door, one per rear door and two in the parcel shelf) and a 60W x4 JVC head unit reflects that. Nothing beats loud music in my opinion..

I am also interested in getting myself a mic, and have no idea what is good or what i should get.

I can tell you that it's the best I've used. And I've used a lot.
