Well, I'm glad I found the guy who decides the relevance of posts, thanks for letting me know exactly how much of my post is relevant.
But you're onto something here.
When you said it's not an "in relation to each other" thing, that's where you missed - everything we do here is in relation to each other.
We don't RP in a vacuum, and why would you write a post or type a line in-game except to be read by someone else?
So yes - it is.
And there's tons of RP restrictions; canon/lore based, vanilla/disco/import baed, and more - usually decided by the community as a whole.
It's good to pick them out and discuss them - which is my point for sharing my opinions on the matter, but I for one am glad that this community stays above the murk and mud.
Believe me - I'm a marine from Chicago; my actual spoken language is literally replete with curses - they're like puntuation to me.
But here, I have to be more dignified and offer the people I play with more dignity - I take that as a positive, not a negative.
Even if I am only 25% correct.
When I said its not an "in relation to each other" thing I was hoping you can differentiate inRP from ooRP. If you happen to have a junker character and I happen to have a non-junker character who happens to hate junkers to the guts, when these two meet, when the two of us meets while playing with these characters, if I eventually to type out something like "Fück you, bloody cünt", you wouldn't take it as a personal, out of character insult aimed at the player, would you?
Well, one can dream about an ideal community full of mature people, but it needs experience to disprove these dreams and reveal who are the mature ones and who aren't.
