Well currently i think the only real reason I've gotten away with my i3 hovering around the 55C mark at full load is because my case is well ventilated. With the case fans on low it'll drop to about 40C. But the fact i have 4 HDDs in there the case fans were a necessity anyway and supposing i didn't have them i would have replaced that terribad cooler long ago.

But good good, i like the fact this particular one doesn't require me to bolt the damn mounting bracket to the board. Since that's just such a fiddly shenanigans. There's that many cables routed in the back panel that when i remove it i actually need to lean on the case to get it to close again lol. Trying to do that as few times as possible since it's just annoying. Quick fit ftw!

I saw those however wasn't sure how good they'd be. Since i can't really stand noisy PCs, especially mine which has to run for long periods of time and it's in the same room i sleep. Whenever it's updating Steam games (I.e Elite Dangerous, 4GB update.) Right now my HDDs hover around 20-28C depending on load and whether the room is warm or not.

Really?

Unless you are in a VERY hot environment, having those is overkill.

HDD's are capable of handling quite a bit of heat before they fail, not to mention that thing would take up even MORE space and draw more power.

Just looking at that device tells me that you would need to have at least one HDD slot between HDD's just to mount that to a drive.

A possibly very ordinary signature coming soon.
