There, scoring high marks in advanced warfare training developing a special skill set, I was deemed worthy enough to be sent out in Sirius to further my education and concretely aid in the "betterment of the Outcast cause" to paraphrase my ranking officer. Biography (The more detail the better): Jacob was born in planet Malta in 788 AS. Him father was a old Maltese Navy officer, who out of work and traded arms/cardamine. Mother of Jacob die at birth. Michael was left alone with his father, who behaved at times like an animal when he used much cardamine. For him, it was disgusting, so he did not try to use cardamine. And if he did, then in small quantities, to refrain from shock and subsequent death.
At 18, Jacob's father is killed right before his eyes. In the will, the father left his entire inheritance to his son. Jacob decides to transfer the entire inheritance to his father's former partner, who was very fond of the Mercer family and was ready to help them in everything. Jacob decides to go to the Maltese fleet, giving himself to the service of Malta. Few people agreed with his moral principle: "Malta is not a herd of stupid drug addicts, but a state that simply does not understand its potential."
After going through many battles and conflicts, Jacob received high experience of captaincy with his cruiser. However, during one of the battles the crew of the enemy ship made boarding on its cruiser. Incredible efforts, Jacob managed to retake his cruiser, losing almost all of his old crew. On the planet Malta, he managed to recruit new recruits, but those more interested in drugs than the fate of their state. In view of the fact that the moral principles between Jacob and his crew were incredibly different, the crew raised a riot on the ship. He manages to suppress the mutiny at a terrible price: by launching the systems of self-destruction of the ship. He also managed to escape from the ship, taking with him only the crew that had been with him from the very beginning commanding the cruiser.
And here he is alone with his friends. He goes back to Malta, where he offers his friends to work for a friend of his father, who, with the help of Jacob, was able to organize a profitable business. Those willingly accept the offer and leave it. Jacob settles in his old father's house. At the age of 37, he learns that the 72nd Maltese fleet is striving for the same thing, to which he also - to make Malta a powerful state, not a bunch of drug addicts. And he here.

While it's good to see another individual with similar goals, I'll point out a couple clarifications and notes about your application.
First, the Republic is still aware of Cardamine usage, and the fact that it's so necessary for Maltese culture and society means that we don't tend to refer to our own people as 'drug addicts'. It's still a way of life on the homeworld, though only for the homeworld. Next is tied to that, in that each life is sacred. Cardamine has its uses and it's flaws, most prevalent being the one regarding reproduction. I don't need to explain this further, but know that we take life very seriously, even if it means taking it altogether
Regardless, the rest of your application looks sound enough for me to give you the green light. You are accepted into the ranks, where you will start at Cadete. Make your way to Cumbre del Cielo to get yourself geared and prepped for service.

Brief Biography: Born to an unremarkable family, her father ran a small restaurant that made enough money for them to be able to get by. It being a family business she was raised to eventually take it on and became a decent chef in her own right. She had always been dissatisfied with the way Malta was ran, longing for something more just and fairer, having seen the success of the other houses in Sirius. She's a fairly level-headed sort of person but also determined when she decides she wants to do something, thus applying to the Republic in order to try and make a difference rather than languishing forever in a restaurant.
