Hello again. Maria Calvo here, on behalf of the Canaan Project.
We've met in Kyushu already not too long ago, talking about a possible accord between the Imperial Kusary Navy and the Canaan Project.
As I've been told to send an official transmission to you, here it is.
As I already said, we do not have much to offer commodity-wise, but we have quite some expertise regarding medical aid, if needed. You asked for a Portfolio, which I will attach at the end of this transmission.
However we will try our hardest to acquire for you, what you need. Even though it might prove difficult for us, as we have some problems earnng money ourselves.

Anyhow, we will await your transmission with what work you have for us.
For starters, however, I will state what we request from you in exchange for our work.
However, it is not much, really.
We do not need to occupy any space on stations of yours. But we just need to be allowed to have our ships - most importantly the Arcadia, our flagship - in your Space. Of course - additionally - we would request assistance in Combat, if attacked.

Either way, I'd be looking forward to working with the Imperial Navy, and I'll be awaiting your transmission.
I wish you and your men safe skies.

Subject: Canaan

Konbanwa, Calvo-San.

Your request has been the subject of much debate in the supply corps, and, as I have been told, in the Admirality as well. This is merely due to the unconventional nature of directing such a request at the main military body rather than at the administrative body of the state, but to be perfectly fair with you as well - we haven't directed you towards that since those offices are yet to be assigned to someone.

Your portfolio seems useful indeed, and medical attention for our soldiers is a valued commodity. While Medforce Enterprises supplies an installation near Freeport Six, it is mainly an installation frequented by... less favourable people.

Taking the unique situation of the Empire into consideration, as well as the fact that your request comes at a time of need for our people, we have decided to grant you your request. This comes at the expense of a few basic rules however.

First and foremost, your home base, ships, pilots and personnel are always and under any circumstances obliged to follow every order the imperial Navy gives them. This means that if we tell you to vacate the area, you do so immediately. We do not want civilians to get in our firing line.
Furthermore, your ships will be subject to the same rules that apply to every other ship passing through the Empire. That means that any traffic past the Kyushu gate as well as closing in to the quarantined Nago station closer than two (2) kilometers is strictly forbidden. You are also strongly advised to avoid the area around the Tau-31 Jumpgate, for obvious reasons.
Additionally, we cannot allow an armed ship to operate in our backhand area. While you operate inside imperial space, you will keep any capital weaponry powered down, and snubcraft are advised to hold their fire unless in immediate danger.
Any interference with Kusarian politics is to be avoided. While we appreciate your help, the conflict with the Republic is a domestic issue, of which we try to keep strangers out.
Any captured pilot, be he Dragon, Republican or IKN, is to be returned immediately to the Nagasaki.

I assure you that those rules are not only to our benefit, but also to your safety. A civil war is not pretty, and the less sacrifices and collateral damage happens, the better.

If you agree to the aforementioned conditions, you will be allowed to operate in the Saga system (you might know it as Tau-29) with the exceptions mentioned above. You can expect imperial patrols to tolerate and protect you if under attack, as well as use the emergency civilian frequency to call for assistance if needed. We will provide you with a safe grid location in which your base can operate in stationary orbit above the star, secluded enough to not interfere with your research - excluding the occasional patrol, obviously.

Be aware that your ships will be searched both upon first entering the system as well as sporadically scanned while we're passing. This is standard procedure in the houses - you might not be used to them, but that's how we keep track of things not going out of control here.

I hope that this answer pleases you. I would appreciate a personal meeting to actually sign the agreement aboard the Nagasaki, if your don't mind - For protocolling reasons, of course.

In the hope of a favourable answer

Sayonara,

Aramaki Hideo

Greetings again, my future "colleague", one might say.
All your conditions agree perfectly with what we expected and do not interfere with our work and research.
We will gladly accept this and will see you in space in the near future to personally seal this contract.

I'm looking forward to working with you. If you ever need medical assistance for one - or more - of your men, feel free to call anyone of us.
Almost all of our people have the minimal medical equipment needed for nearly any injury.

Anyhow, we will see you in space soon, and I wish you and your men safe skies.
