Ahhhh, i remeber my first virus i left it at first and became so bad every 30 seconds it would hit the Blue Screen ERROR and i lost that laptop completely .. Bought new one it was so bad.

After that i bought every Virus protection out there.

Sorry for the unhelpfull post besides i suggest buying an external hard drive souly in case of virus attacks

Sorry to tell you this now Seth but depending on how malicious your virus is and which file it's in, you just might've send it over to your server while backing up files... Any UPnP storage device is even worse - with my last bout of binary vermin, anything I plugged into my machine got instantly infected.

I normally burn everything onto dvds if I'm backing up after virus attack. So far I haven't gotten a virus smart enough to work through Nero and put autoloaders on what I've been burning to infect my new system. Complete isolation/lockdown is the best way to go..

Have just realised something...

I haven't go just one hard drive, there's another called RECOVERY.

In that is a folder called "Windows"

Would it have all the working thingies on it?

I just spent 20 minutes undoing what this virus managed to do:

-Disable Regedit
-Put user control blocks on my account
-Decide that Skype was trying to infect my PC and tried to delete it
-Decide that no, I am not allowed to restart or shut down my PC
-TURN ON MY WIRELESS ADAPTER EVEN THOUGH I DISABLED IT!!! How the hell it managed that I have NO idea...

Good things are that: It is now gone:)
