I was wondering why 4 liberty dreadnoughts, 2 liberty battlecruisers, 1 liberty siege cruiser and Juneau Shipyard - along with ten to twenty gunships/snubs - all firing at me at the same time (and hitting their target) do literally nothing to my Coalition Carrier even if I disable my shields, but I alone can kill other cap ships, including ones i've tried that seemed to have the same kind of invulnerability against NPC caps, without even firing my heavies once
Is it just devs making it easier to fight NPC's or is it something else?
Perhaps people go to singleplayer when they want to interact with NPCs. Perhaps people come to multiplayer servers to interact with other players without NPCs interrupting said interaction. Perhaps devs are just helping making that happen. With a little bit of thinking answers are found quickly and easily.
Well... NPCs have infinite powercore, but players have better aiming skill. (not me, I'm talking npc). Well NPC battleships don't strafe if I remember well, all they can do is something +/- like turret steering, however they just fly forward firing all weapons at you. So basically 0 skill, 0 brain and pretty useless unless got numbers. (so just like me). And it is not caused by devs / admins, you just can't give a brain to npcs, it's connected with FL mechanics and can't be changed. All we can do is giving them better guns, but this option won't pass because people in discovery are addicted to nobby npcs and no buffs are allowed. Quoting discussions from the past "It's an role-playing server and strong npcs would disrupt interactions". So basically, you will be forced to fly between cloned Epos with one difference: they can't speak apart from scanning cargo and engaging stuff. That's the only aspect in which I beat any NPC
