So, back in 2014 some DHC dudes and I (Ben and some American whose name I can't remember, sorry) and perhaps some others, were discussing a race event. A "moth around the light" type race in Omega 11. Basically you would race around the sun. One lap, the closer you get, the faster you go. Too close - you burn up. Like a moth! Sadly nothing became of it. Anyhow, do you guys think suck an event would be fun? I might have the description still lying around among the pile of old Disco documents. Unless it got DBAN-ed.

The gentlemen’s club of New London invites all interested parties to a most interesting tournament of snooker. Continuing a long tradition of exquisite events…

Just kidding fellows! This your favourite illegal racing event organising organisation! That’s right. No snooker, that would be… too exhilarating. To the matter you say? Very well.
There are pilots and there are Pilots, just as there are races and Races. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a Race like no other. We give you the ultimately thrilling, ruthlessly dangerous spectacle – something one can be proud to have ever taken place in. We give you the one and only, the legendary Moth race!
The rules are simple. The first to make a lap around the sun alive wins. Just like that. The question is… how close do you dare?
Do we even have to mention that no shooting is allowed – including CDs? Probably not. Wondering what to fly? No worries, we have that sorted out for you.
Light fighters only. It might change in time, but for now – that’s it. No lumbering nonsense bricks on this event.
Entry fee of 10 mil. Betting and any other gambling-like, money-wasting activity is welcome. The winner gets all the money. You win or you lose. Nothing in between. Oh, we have an extra prize reserved for the last place. An almost new pornographoscope. The loser will certainly need it to... ahem, do things, since girls don’t like losers, do they?
Yeah this type of race was already done and proved to be fun. Organize it if you wish and my AFC guys would be interested in joining.
