I think so. Player battleships have a range of something like 2K, while bases are something closer to 1K. I think this is to limit the absoulute carnage they could wreak - see Bretonian Dunkirk bases for embodiment of death.
Yeah, but why did yo want to know that anyway? And I may be completely wrong.
Stationary base battleships have a shorter range when accuracy is concerned. The weapons on stationary base battleships do more damage than a player battleship.
Because it will determine what I do with a possible sanction report or PM to someone... *sigh*
Basically heres what it is, my Dreadnought was parked next to the missouri and I alt tabbed to check the forums real quick.
I get back and I'm under attack by 2 hostile ships, and the misouri was not firing back. (the whole reason I parked there) The targets were parked over Norfolk, but I seen no NPCs shooting them. Now if a player ship's range is greater then the stationary one, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and just assume no npc fighters were in the area and they were in fact hostile to the navy as they should be.
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
