As the man left, Silver eyed the room. Sparse, clean, and if nothing, the bed was truly comfortable. Obviously that change in demeanor only meant one thing. She was being watched.
"Can we blame them?"
She whispered to Helene, now sleeping happy and content. Silver looked at her little girl one more time, and smiled. Who would have thought she could feel this way again. A shred of happiness in a weird land.
"First lesson kiddo."
Silver looked at her left hand with the tattooed Reaver symbol. A memento. A promise. A past.
"Leave your debts payed in full."
Her hand moved and slided aside some of her hair, not orange red as it was, but now her natural color, blonde.
"So that when you walk forward, there's nothin' latchin' on to ya."
She raised her hand, in a gesture, signaling she needed to talk.
"And this debt, love.. I got to pay it. In full."
The man entered the room and stopped near the bed, obviously waiting for a decision.
His hands were sweaty, she noticed.
"You treat me and my girl well and right..."
War it is.
"And i'll fight For the Red Dawn."
The man's grin was immense. They would have a lot of work ahead.

He smiled. "Excellent. I'm pleased that you made the right decision." he handed a data tablet to Silver. "Inside here you'll find the history of the Sirius Coalition and its Revolutionary Army as well as training manuals to operate our personal weaponry as well as ships. Get familiar with it."
He gave Silver a chance to briefly skim through the data tablet before continuing.
"You will join the Revolutionary Army as a Junior Lieutenant under the call-sign "Red Witch". I'm sure you'll enjoy that one. Your first assignment will be to complete the initiation that ever recruit before you has gone through. You will complete the Hispania Memorium. You will travel alone to Omicron Alpha and upload your name to a databank located within the wreck. Once you have done so you will make a report and then your journey will begin."
Her head throbbed. And then went silent. Red Witch. It was like they had a sense of humor after all.
"Understood."
Her baby slept peacefully, and the data pad was on her legs. The whiteness of the room accentuated every color in it. And that ghostly voice seemed to woke up from a slumber, like it was overdue. Her grin was of an animal looking at a prey.
"I'll be yer Witch. For as long as it takes."
The Reaver symbol on her hand burned inside, like it was a release waiting to happen.
"T'ill Sirius burns in Red."
Her baby yawned content with the warmth, and Kalliste looked at her like she was the sun long forgotten.
A new objective, a new life, a new heart.
Kalliste Silver, the Silver Reaver was in that moment, born as the Red Witch of the Coalition.
