Okay, I am on, here it goes. This log should has been made as a last resort, should I meet my demise at the hands of the Core, or, if by God Almighty's grace, I escape from the Shackles of guilt that bind me. It is intended to release all the information I have gathered About the Edge World Paramilitary Organisation called the Core, my association with them, and the horrors I have seen. I know I have done a lot of wrong, and I don't expect forgiveness or mercy. But I record this, so that should I finally fall in the pit in which I have pushed many others, I shall fall without the burden of guilt.
But this will not mean anything if I cannot tell my story. I am Amit Parker, a Core Captain. I wasn't always this way.
I was born on.......I honestly don't know. An orphan, at the mercy of others. I will skip this part, because it is of no value whatsoever, and whoever that innocent boy was, He isn't there anymore.
The earliest place I remember is Ames Research station. the one in Kepler. I was told I had been brought in by a shady looking Liberty Rogue Captain, who left me in the station bar. According to them, I was about four years old. that was twenty two years ago.
What I do remember was that I had a bad tendency to take on any who challenged me, no matter how tough they were. This grew worse until an incident happened, which we shall reach shortly. The Zoner researchers pitied me and took me among them. I grew up in a laboratory, helping them as a lab assistant, but I knew my real calling lay out there, in space.
One of the researchers, Kendra Parker, accepted me as her lab assistant when I reached 12 years. She gave me education, a job, food, but most importantly, a Mother. I was Amit. I became Amit Parker.
Of course, with my teenage hitting me, I soon became tired of being in a research Lab. I looked toward Combat as a career option. Space was where I belonged. But, well, Zoners are Zoners, and if they are not good at one thing, it was combat. Meanwhile, I had begun to save from my meager salary, which I got from the lab assistant job, if you could call it a job. A few years went by. I managed to get sufficiently educated to be called Educated. and my savings reached five hundred thousand credits.
I bid my mother farewell, and caught a shuttle to Deshima station
