The Liberty Rogues are a criminal group in Liberty which focus on smuggling and piracy. They are allied with the Outcasts, the Lane Hackers and the Unioners, and often work with the Junkers.
Pilot carrying this unlawful ID is a member of the Liberty Rogues, who:
Can attack any ships within their Zone of Influence, except transports.
Can demand cargo and credits from any ship within their Zone of Influence, and attack them if they do not comply.
Cannot ally with any lawfuls.
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
Zone of Influence: Liberty, systems directly bordering Liberty, Shikoku, Humboldt, Coronado
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers
I am requesting a Spec Ops/SRP ID which basically reads as the following:
The Liberty Rogues are a criminal group in Liberty which focus on smuggling and piracy. While generally a disorganized lot, several gangs within the Rogues are extremely ambitious and highly organized, and their influence spreads far beyond Liberty proper.
Pilot carrying this unlawful ID is one said ambitious Liberty Rogue, who:
Can attack any ship within her Zone of Influence, except transports.
Can demand cargo and credits from any ship within her Zone of Influence, and attack them if they do not comply.
Cannot ally with any lawfuls.
Can ally with Bundschuh within her Zone of Influence.
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
Zone of Influence: Liberty, systems directly bordering Liberty, Shikoku, Humboldt, Coronado, Rheinland Allowed ships: Bison with sexy Rogue engines and pirate transport turrets. You know you love it.
Of course, the most important part of this request, and the reason that the SRP ID is needed at all in the first place, is that the Liberty Rogues ID has a -.55 nodock rephack with Bundschuh, and this makes it impossible to carry out the proper roleplay, namely that of supplying the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee with certain goods they require. As such, I also am requesting a manual rep adjustment to be 0.0 neutral with Bundschuh.
3. Exact name, identification and affiliation of the character:
The ship is named Cargo.Cult and the character's name is Siena Rae.
The ship (as with all but one of Siena's other ships) currently has Rogues ID and IFF.
4. Why is this request necessary for the continuation of this character's roleplay?
This request is absolutely vital to the continuation of Siena's roleplay because without it, docking on Bundschuh bases is mechanically impossible. Were it possible to do this on a Pirate ID, I would, but it's also rephacked nodock with Bundschuh, and furthermore, Siena is no independent pirate, so using such an ID wouldn't be quite right.
Theoretically I could do this on a Freelancer ID using a Pirate Train, but the problem with that is that it's hard to explicitly mark oneself as an unlawful on that ID - using a ptrain is, I feel, more generally seen as a "shady semi-lawful" thing to do rather than "explicitly unlawful". Furthermore, Siena acquired a Bison instead because, in her view, it has more style, and the fact that it's more expensive to maintain gives her prestige in the eyes of her fellow Rogues; something she's desperate to maintain at all costs. That's to say nothing of the added utility of the Bison-class having the near-unique ability (in-roleplay, of course) to do atmospheric entry unassisted. (And, of course, I can't use a Bison on a Freelancer ID because of cargo limits.)
5. What short-term and long-term goals are you planing to achieve on this character?
In the short-term, Siena is looking to gain trust from - or, more likely, make herself seem useful to - Kerensky's Agency 404 and the VWA. Once she's established a successful foothold in Rheinland, she plans to reach out to the Unioners to seek a place to base from for piracy and even more illicit smuggling within Rheinland for herself and Kurt (her long-time running buddy and probably the closest thing she has to a friend); she knows the Bundschuh won't tolerate such activities, but Kerensky's paying her for it, and even without that additional motivator, it's something she and Kurt have been planning for a while yet.
Long-term, the prime goal is to build up a larger network of contacts and people who owe her favors, gain influence within Rheinland somehow (she hasn't quite figured this part out yet), gain real renown within the Rogues, work at acquiring a small fleet under her command crewed with whatever yes-men can deal with her imperious attitude, and, of course, get rich while doing it all. I did say that she was very ambitious.
Siena is, for all her brash behavior and sadistic bloodlust, a businesswoman at the end of the day. The medium-term ooRP goal of continuing Siena's story is to see if she's paranoid enough to dance with the spooks at 404 and come out of it alive, or if she's too blinded by her headstrongness and greed to avoid being a simple pawn in the LSF's plotting. I haven't discussed Sonja's goals with her player, because I don't want to spoil the impromptu nature this story has had so far.
7. Provide a cliffnote/summary for the links provided above.
A: Dragging the 50-something year-old Kurt Chryesh out of retirement yet again, since he's the only one of her old running buddies that there's any reason to believe hasn't yet bit the dust. The characters have a long history together, reaching back to 2011 or 2012, but all of that was conducted ingame, largely around Rochester and in California. Thus the game begins. B: Kerensky's communications with Erich Klugmann, establishing Agency 404 and the VWA as having a mutual interest and willingness to assist one another. C: Post #4 in the above thread, where Kerensky informs Klugmann of her new "asset". D: Siena's communications with Sonja Kerensky of the LSF's Agency 404. Posts 3 and 4 address Kerensky's requests for Siena to hasten plans to extend her operations into Rheinland, and start causing trouble for the lawful authorities there; something the two previously agreed was in their mutual interests. E: Kerensky's report of her interaction with Siena in California and outside Barrier, complete with[1]screenshots[2] of the conversation ingame. F: Communication with the Congress to acquire a Bison. G: Siena informs the Widerstandsarmee that they'll be working together, and asks what it is they need. Klugmann expresses his (totally reasonable) worries about working with her, but gives her an order to fill regardless, since he doesn't have much choice.
8. How long has this character been building its backstory?
Siena was first made as a character largely to shoot things with while joking around on skype with my friends. She quickly turned into an outlet for a lot of feelings I had in real life at the time which were hard to address directly, and her personality - aggressive, sadistic, excessively proud, total eschewing of formality or the concept of "context appropriate" - reflects that. Over time, she turned into a more serious character, and now that I've returned to Discovery, I've done my best to rewrite the parts of her story and personality which were over-the-top and immature, and to turn her into a serious character that meets the roleplay standards this community maintains in 2016, while still keeping all of the essentials as they were. She was one of the first characters I remade when I got back, and has existed ingame on various ships for about three months. Prior to my "long break" from the community, I had played her for nearly two years.
9. If you feel that you would like to provide us with character references, specify whom.
@Sonja(Sonja Kerensky's player.) @LunaticOnTheGrass(of VWA| fame.) @Grumblesaur(Kurt Chryesh's player; Siena's long-time running buddy and the infamous Rogue who actually got Cody back in the days when Sylpheed still called the shots.) @WildBill(of the Congress.) @Vendetta / @"Texas.Red" (Player of Texas Red, an occasional running buddy of Siena's. He'd probably be mortified if he knew that Siena was working with the government, and more amused to know that she and Kurt joke behind Red's back about how Kurt has no business retiring when Red's still playing the field at his age.)
As is standard procedure, the 250 mils can be found on Cargo.Cult, the character in question.
