What I see is 90 people online during evenings spread all over the Sector with no real goals or opportunities.

How exactly people like me are killing things?

The opportunities are present, if people can't see them and/or aren't making use of them despite that, I don't know what else could help.

Wars bring people into the game but its the wrong kind of activity, its bang and bust. It drags those who sit on skype into the game for a short time who then promptly disappear once its over. You can't bring those kinds of players back, either they are bored or simply apathetic and have no more interest in being a character in the server, they just want to shoot stuff.

Commodity events like these are the slow burn option, it brings more traders online, who tempt pirates, that requires police, which gives revolutionaries someone to target, coaxing their enemies out to fight them which escalates into a naval matter and before you know it, you have an active House (in theory). All it needs is people to actually play.

Tbt this is the problem with the Edge Worlds because 99% of activity there is wars and there's zero ambient activity to fill the gaps. The trade event there fixed that, albeit for a while, as it actually placed ambient activity within those gaps and for the first time in years factions had something else to do other than shoot hostile IDs.

I think generally speaking trade events are a really awesome formula that we should make use of much more often.

Would having two systems that are bottlenecks of two main regions of Sirius, and concentrate all the pew activity, be a fun? Maybe even another one between them, so they are connected too?
