Discovery 4.88.5 Patch 3 Bomber Changes Notes
-Responsiveness nerfed from 0.5756 to 0.6332
-Turn rate nerfed from 60.88 to 55.51
By having the size of an average VHF and even some light fighters, Bergelmir has always been a problematic ship to balance. The previous nerfs (removal of 5th gun and armor reduction) didn't prove to be sufficient so we're nerfing it further in order to hopefully get it in line with the rest.
-Responsiveness nerfed from 0.5756 to 0.6044
-Turn rate nerfed from 60.88 to 58.37
Being only a bit bigger than the Bergelmir, the ship suffers the same issue as its Rheinland counterpart. Although the limited availability and a unique torpedo mount compensate a bit, it's still too good because of the fact that size is the most influential factor. We're nerfing the turn rate and responsiveness a bit as a result.
-Responsiveness buffed from 0.5629 to 0.5469
-Turn rate buffed from 54.75 to 58.01
Praetorian is a bomber which suffers from the issue of being significantly slower but having no good sides compared to other medium bombers. Horrible torpedo mounts on the tip of the wings don't help the case either, so we're buffing its turn rate and responsiveness to hopefully make it appealing.
-Responsiveness nerfed from 0.5117 to 0.5469
-Turn rate buffed from 56.34 to 58.01
The Sekhmet's issue is being bigger than most and significantly bigger than some medium bombers. Having a below average turn rate with good responsiveness didn't do much good, so we're doing the opposite by buffing the turn rate and nerfing the responsiveness. Don't worry though, it's still a buff, although we're not sure if it's enough to make it as good as the rest. We'll be keeping an eye on it throughout the following weeks.
-Responsiveness buffed from 0.5373 to 0.5117
-Turn rate buffed from 52.20 to 56.66
Havoc Mk II is a unique ship. Well, it was up until now. It had by far the worst turn rate of all the light and medium bombers in the game and as a result we barely saw anyone using it. It was quite sad that it took so long to change it because all the other stats are pretty solid and the ship looks amazing on top of it, but better late than never, right? Turn rate and responsiveness buffed.
-Turn rate nerfed from 61.23 to 58.37
The recent buff it got in terms of getting a medium core instead of light was a healthy change - the ship is average sized for a medium bomber, and deserved an upgrade. Being the fastest bomber in the game on top of that is crossing the line a bit too much. We're nerfing the turn rate to compensate rather than reverting the powercore to what it was before. Don't worry though, it's still one of the most agile medium bombers in the game.
-Nanobots/Shield Batteries amount increased from 95/95 to 110/110
Broadsword & Falcata are two bombers that look phenomenal on paper, but fail to live to the expectations in game. It's mostly because of the shape they have of being small at the front and big at the back so a minor regens buff will hopefully attract more people into using them. Really, they're not that bad.
All heavy bombers have the same problem right now. They are significantly bigger and slower than other bombers making them "free blues" or in other terms the most vulnerable snub class in the game. It's really hard to work around ships with that big of a size, and since downscaling is a last resort option, we're buffing the turn rate to hopefully increase their survivability a bit. This is just a testing phase and you can expect additional buffs in the future, so keep your heads up.

The changes are officialy in as of yesterday. I've used FLStat for reference as most of the people compare ship characteristics there. The actual bomber rework will hopefully hit on the next major patch, so stay tuned. @Haste also messed with bombers' shield bubbles, if you have any questions concerning that write him a PM. Let us know what you think of the changes and don't hesitate to test the bombers so we have an input on whether or not it was a positive change, especially on the buffed ships. That's all, enjoy!
P.S. Ignore the reviews on the wiki, they're outdated.
I think it will be bearable until the Upholder gets that glorious new model...maybe turn it into a Heavy bomber? Please? The new design looks like a heavy bomber anyway. Just add another Torpedo and it will be perfect!
Disregard anything I say due to repeated snacs to the headpoints.
Was the Upholder by Robert not done yet? He sounded like he finished most of his side so it would have been more efficient to do it with the new model already?
Other than that. Thanks. This looks very good for the current way bombers are handled.

No. I believe it still needs to be exported, but Robert is currently too busy to finalize it.
It's quite likely the ship's stats will be reviewed when the new model goes in, though, so its current stats shouldn't really affect things.
The shield bubble changes are likely to be quite impactful, by the way, even if they're not described in detail here. Some ships lost two thirds of the volume their shield hitbox used to have, while other shield hitboxes were more than doubled (cough bergelmir cough).
