All the events that have been following up on each other as of late left me burned out, at least that's how I am feeling and I'm having a hard time coping with all of this. This is why I've been seeing Glass a few times to talk and asked him for advice on my current situation. The idea of a vacation came up, brought up by me but it seems to be a good to take a step back for a little while. I planned a vacation for two weeks on Gran Canaria, not at the safe houses though as I found a prettier cabin at the edge of some woods. No offense to the safe houses, they are nice and I made good use of them in the past, I just feel I need more distance from work and anything directly related to it.
Something else also came to up for discussion when I talked to Glass, this was a possible procedure to take away some troubled thoughts. I've not yet made my decision on this subject, hence why I put Glass in the CC of this message. I'm really not fond of the idea where someone is going to dig into my mind and take out what shouldn't be there. This is why I will use this vacation to argue with myself about the possible benefits and consequences this might have but to be fair, such procedure takes a lot of trust and we all know where that went. I do however wish you all the best and I hope work isn't nagging on you all that much.
For the sake of being able to have some peace and make up my mind I'd rather not receive any messages or calls. Of course if there is an emergency like one of you ending up in the hospital again and it's something serious then you can call me or if there is some immediate danger that needs to be addressed. Keep in mind, this is just a vacation. I should be back in the saddle in two weeks starting from tomorrow, officially.
It's good you got in touch with us ahead of time. I can understand the overwhelming amount of stress and pressure you've been put under after recent events. At least you picked a spot that isn't likely to get you hurt. The last thing we need is more people spending time in the med-bay. It's good you're trying out options, though. A stress break should do you well. It's a shame that so much ended up piled on you in the past few weeks. I don't want you to feel like we're relying on you to hold everything together, pfft.
Keep in touch with Glass if you need to. His methods might be different, but he's actually good at his job. Any procedure he might've suggested is likely a good idea. If there was anyone who understands neuroscience like it's a child's book, it'd be Michael. And don't you worry about us. We'll be fine. Work won't eat us up while you're gone.
Lastly, you'll obviously only be contacted in emergencies. You should take this time to relax and enjoy yourself. Your health and well-being is important, you know that. I don't want to see you moping around. That's my job, heh.
