Shamed. Exiled. Disgraced. Each nerve in my body rests on the daggers blade, the stab wound in my back a gateway for dishonour. There was little choice in the matter, a swift departure from Coalition controlled space was necessary to avoid capture by the Commissariat once they had caught up to their new orders. Taking a Partisan from it's hanger, it was with sorrow I left the Pyl'Nist' behind. It's crew is loyal, yet they are loyaler still to the State Duma. Was this state of affairs to be inevitable? To be expected? Had I challenged the Duma with too many questions? ... Had they discovered Commune 47? Perhaps the hypothesis is true. There is much to gain from shutting down a department fighting the pry'bulet if...if... my people are lost if it is to be the case.

Mishtar Vertiga is one of the few men I know who I can trust not to betray me - I shall have to seek him out. I doubt Mishtar Vertiga has any cigarettes though. Good ones at least. Without pandering to my vice... that is not an option. A supply must be found... perhaps I can contact that smuggler on record as intercepted approximately a month ago.

There is one shred of clarity in this treacherous maelstrom. The Duma has turned it's back on me. I shall turn my back on them.

Za revoly... - Pimakhova
