brightness/contrast levels manually on the histogram in Photoshop (ctrl + L). That way it doesn't mess with the colour hues.

Ctrl+L is Levels, just not auto, it doesn't mess with the hues if you touch only the composite (RGB) channel. And.. it is the basic thing to do to an image.

Anyway, count me in too, I have lots of them, some of them were already posted on the forum, I think I'm gonna use some of those too if it's allowed.
