So, I'm working on my freelancer character. I get bored and decide to hit up my old favorite server, especially since it is the only one I can access now anyways. I use the shortcut that loads the server IP and I try to log on, only to have the version-meter-dealy be in a vivid torch red and not allow me access to the server. I look at the bottom right of my screen and see that my freelancer is listed as "VER. 48.44" instead of 4.84 like the server... The only mod activated is Discover Freelancer Version 4.84 Beta 4. I was so frustrated and confused I later re-installed all of freelancer after removing it from my registry and erasing any trace of it through safe-mode (Only after realizing that one Freelancer .ini file was corrupt and couldn't be removed the standard way) so thinking it would work now, I re-installed FLMM and Freelancer and it is still Version 48.44 for me. Anyone know what the deal is with this?
I'm sure it is possible, though I don't know of another version that would work, unless you can tell me. I looked up other versions out of curiosity but that site only had the beta as well.
Sweet, thanks. I downloaded it to FLMM and it turns out I was a version behind. Thanks for the assistance!
Edit: Now I am up to date, but when I log into Freelancer and try to join the server which is now completely fine, it freezes and crashes to windows, giving me some error message and asking me to send or not send an error report to microsoft... Sorry! I really hope this is the last problem this P.O.S. computer give me. Any ideas for this one?!
Alright. This time it is working and to be sure, I already set-up a new character and Forum account called Mantrid_Brizon and tried it out on the server. Turns out that this time it was the target data in the Discovery Shortcut. Had to alter my own shortcut by adding just the IP Address. Thanks again for all of the help.
