I don't start new topics often, but answering the questions of a player caused me to wonder about a small topic that might become a big one next version.

The BHG Core is being restricted to the Omicrons for their large capital ships, but there are no BHG bases to dock these? A corollary to this is where are these things PRODUCED? Rostock? mmm...nah. Not buyin' it.

Now many will say "They can dock on the Zoner bases out there, there's plenty of them" and I would say perhaps. I'd like Jinx's or Mal's opinions on this one as zoner law isn't something i'm up on. But with a 5k "no-pewpew-zone" around all freeports, hopefully restraint will be in place until guns power up.

Perhaps one of the developers will say "there will be a BHG base somewhere in the Omicrons" and all will be good. And no, that's not giving away TOO MUCH information about the new mod release, but enough to let those BHG know where they're parking lot is going to be.

Thoughts?

most BHGs and their enemies i have seen had no problem with the neutral zone. - its something every faction can live with. - so, right now they are supposed to dock at freeports indeed. - and there is generally enough space that is not under the law of the zoner stations - allowing everyone the freedom they need.

in 4.85 - you may have an alternative option though ( at least in omicron delta ) - but still - every freeport is open, ... thats why is a FREEport.

I too expect there to be some sort of Bounty Hunter outpost in the Omicrons next patch. No specific info, though.

I have reason to believe that the BH will get their base in the Omicrons. Maybe even O. Delta. And hopefully that's where the capital ships will be sold. Makes more sense, considering that the Core is tasked with fighting both the Nomads and Order.

I think we can all agree that the scale of objects in this game is way off. The Juggy is nearly the size of a moon and if you think about fighters docking on ships and stations, well, at best you could "realistically" fit 2 fighters in at a time. And that would be pushing it.
