There are a couple topics closed that had good discussions going and no flaming. But for some reason certain are deemed acceptable and others are deemed inappropriate.
I'm American ... we're prone to protest about something. This is my 1st Amendment rant. Sorry for going off topic on this but it needs to be addressed.
In this thread Baltar, no-one has yet crossed the line. So as we discussed via PM, there is no lock. As for your repeatedly implying that I was biased towards lawful factions in my ways of locking threads, just look in my sig. I'm not going to lock this as frankly I haven't seen anything which is against unlawful players. Like there was in the other one, which was way over the line from tha start as it had the implication that all lawful players suck at RP.
This thread is -not- locked.
Don't push me Baltar.
Anyway, as to the debate, someone mentioned corsairs and outcasts being mighty upset if your hauled the opposing faction's wares. Well I think thats perfectly understandable... If I see someone with artifact while I'm flying my OC char, it'll take quite something to stop me from blowing the guy up. I'll make an utterly absurd demand and get them to drop all the cargo and vice versa if I'm flying my corsair. That doesn't change according to who is carrying the artifacts/cardi...
Junkers do have a very free reign of sirius and thats a good thing, however I have seen an awful lot of junkers doing fairly un-junkerish routes, and indeed docking on house corp bases, which is, as discussed earlier, oorp.
From the point of veiw of my unlawful chars (except my xeno) a junker tag/ID means I'll give a little more leeway to them as I know and understand that the junkers are not folks to annoy for economic reasons... If i see a junker doing something I'm opposed to then I'll pirate them as I would anyone else.
Same goes for the smuggler ID, I made topic like this a month or so ago.
Indeed, Orin did! I remember reading it.
Smuggler, Trader, it's all the same to me... don't expect anything from myself or my fellow Xenos on that note. If you are lucky, we may just take some credits, but don't count on it. After all, we aren't about letting folks bring in stuff from the outside. That just isn't our bag, Man.
No special favors or treatment, everything has a consequence...

*smiles in fond recollection*
That being said, yeah, Xenos are good antidotes to idjits. We're willing to extend our services to the other houses upon request!
.:j:.Iron.Lady: I remember that too, you damn Xeeners.

We like Feedback just like everybody else. Word has it everybody dislikes us, yet no one ever tells us why. I hope you could.
@ blubba: Corsairs taxing Gold to those who bring gold TO them? Think I'd stop bringing Gold to Corsairs ... its called supply and demand. Great way to decrease your supply of Gold ... yeah ... enjoy yourself.
Ah....Baltar. I see the penny dropped. Your getting there, slowly, but getting there.
As for the council declaration ... is that a player faction declaration or something you'll find in the NPC rumor mill? If its in the player faction declarations ... you're becoming too much like Liberty.
Er....not sure what thats about. A bit too bizare for me.
For me, it's what Dusty Lens and Jihad Joe said. It's about what you're carrying, where you're carrying it and whos just caught up with you that counts. Each encounter should be different, not some scripted thing else we are again reduced to the "$2 mill or die brigade"!

Um ... checking date/time stamps of PMs and my post you quoted ... I'm pretty sure I wrote that before we got into PM discussions on this issue. So ... I guess I don't know how to respond to you here other than poor timing.
But thanks for clarifying how ... yet again ... wrong I am.
